Miss Lauren co- teaches Ovation On Stage with music and choreography instruction, stage directs our Summer Jr. Intensive and is often behind the scenes building props, painting sets and stage managing our productions. Our 2022-2023 musical theatre season is coming to an end and our 2023-2024 season is fast approaching. We have 5 fully staged musically theatre productions planned for our next season between January 2024 and July 2024. One of our favorite things about Summer Intensive is we get to watch students stretch their artistic abilities and we get to challenge them to try things that might be way outside of their comfort zone, but the result is magical! Last week our guest instructor, Alexandra, led a discussion and deep dive into the historical elements of the story of Anastasia. This week, our guest instructor, Brittany, led a masterclass and worked through ways to incorporate acting into singing in a meaningful and authentic way! A big thank you to them both for sharing their knowledge and experience with us!

Based on one of Roald Dahl’s most poignantly quirky stories, Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach JR. is an adventurous musical about courage and self-discovery.
When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. James befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant piece of fruit across the ocean, facing hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements along the way.
