Mrs Ridenours classes completed a unit of International Dance. The students were able to prepare presentations from the Country of their choice, many teaching a folk dance from their own heritage. There was plenty of treats and laughter to go along with the dance instruction.

So fortunate to welcome home ISP Sgt. Mike Wendler and his wife, school board member Amy Wendler! Your Xavier Family is so thankful to have you home!
Xavier capped off Spirit week by donating all the cleaning supplies, grocery cards, food, and other items to Valley House Homeless Shelter. Thank you so much to all the families and business sponsors. Rome and Olympia battled it out for first place again this year! The friendly competition between houses gave an extra boost to the volume of generosity. We had a teacher vs Senior Volleyball game and a great week of fun for all involved!
Do you have a student in Mr Ridenours 6th grade class? The House of Rome came in to give a “wolf” personality quiz and teach them how to make an origami wolf!

Mrs Harm’s class did portraits of Mr Moon. I think these artists have definitely captured his essence! 🤭
Secondary had a blast with our first House Assembly and then we ended the week with the Back to School Bash Dance!! Can you spot your kiddo dancing?
We sure kicked the year off right! From our first all-school Congrego to a House Assembly (separate post) to the Back to School Bash, it was an eventful week. Mrs Robbins and Mrs Ditlefsen worked extra hard to get our PFA up and running for the year. With our President, Brandi Meiners and VP Lyndsey Hughes at the helm, we look forward to many more fun events! Can you spot your kids in the crowd scenes?

Join us for this fun event! 5:30-7:30 is open for families and students k-12 at no cost to come and play! Food will be available for purchase. At 7:30 families will go home and our 7-12 students will stick around for their first dance of the year!

Xavier House Leaders did a two-day training to plan an epic year of Sports, Fine Arts, Mentorship, Service, and Fun for our secondary students! Excited for the 22/23 Leadership team!

Xavier teachers ready for summer professional development! We love Gerry Brooks!

The 7th graders enjoyed creating “Hooverville” during the annual Event Day!
When I asked Mrs Harm to "send me a recording of your class singing in Latin so I can post it on the school page", I should have known she'd go above and beyond! She created this piece of awesomeness! Enjoy.

4th grade field trip to First Federal Park was so much fun! I think they even forgave us for postponing it one day to have nice weather!

Mrs. Hutchinson and Ms. Carpenter took their 4th grade classes outside for a talent show on the parachute!

All of the 6th graders were “sorted” into the House they are moving into for 7th grade. They were greeted with cheers and hugs and gifts! They will be participating in sports, fine arts performances, leadership opportunities, mentorship, and so many other adventures next year. They will move through the years with this second little “family”, as well as the whole of the Xavier secondary student body. Good times ahead! They were able to participate in Character Clubs in Elementary and that has helped them become even more prepared for next year!
All the Houses saying goodbye to their senior members!

A HUGE thank you to Denise Hicks for the years and years of teaching and service to our school. Now, take a well-deserved nap! 😉

Senior Event Day. This group is just a few days away from being grads!!

Drum Corp is gearing up to perform at Twin Falls Western Days Parade!

Character Clubs had their last meeting on Monday. Which group was your child in? 😀

We had so much fun at Camp Read a Lot! Over 220 students and their families packed the gym for this fun event! I’m not sure much reading happened, but there were lots of smiles!

We are almost ready! See you at 6!
If you have a 7/8 grader in Dance, look for them here! This unit is on International Dances. The kids are put into small groups and they get to research a country’s folk dance, then present to the class. Some came in costume, some brought treats, all of them had fun😉

Camp Read a Lot will be held Friday, April 29th from 6 to 7:30! Join us for a fun evening of reading, winning door prizes, getting a library card and enjoying a hotdog dinner! (Dinner is to be purchased)

Prom. The DJ kept it hoppin, the chaperones kept it safe, and the kids ROCKED the night away!!!🎶

Senior presentations happened this week! (One group of seniors are pictured here). There were many wonderful projects that helped serve our community. We were lucky to have a few Elementary teachers help out on the panels. How fun to see kids you taught many years ago, now all grown up and preparing for graduation!
Mr McGhee took Eclatante outside to record a "Spring" song for you to enjoy.....

Don’t miss the Secondary Acting Class Drama Production this Friday!! It’s an original production!!
Congregos at Xavier are a blast! Music, Promposal, Singing, School Spirit, Dancing, Teacher challenges, Lip Sync Vid!… we cram it all in!

Miss Carpenter helped each elementary grade put together their spring drama productions. These are a few shots of the third grade classes performing “Alice in Wonderland and the fourth grade classes performing Robin Hood.
As a Community Service project, the House of Rome (service leader:Cooper Wiggins) sponsored a charity concert, proceeds to Voices Against Violence here in Twin Falls. There were multiple dance studios, singers, and classes represented in the show. Thank you to all who supported the project! And thank you Coooper, for all the hard work. If you have questions about donations for this organization, please contact Mrs.Ridenour at the school.

IASC is a conference held in Boise for all the HS student councils in Idaho each year. It is a fun opportunity for councils to meet each other and share ideas to improve their schools, as well as learn meaningful leadership skills to influence how we work. Not only is this a learning opportunity, it is also a competition. Awards for spirit, etiquette, and OSC (Outstanding Student Council) are given at the end of the conference. Xavier was awarded OSC for this year! Throughout the school year councils put together a portfolio showcasing all of the work and events they have accomplished, and are then scored and announced at the conference. This conference is also a chance for our student government to grow closer with one another. It is 2-3 days of bonding and joy and is something they look forward to every year!
House of Rome loves spending time with Mr.Dicksons class! This activity was a fun crafting session and getting to know each other better❤️🏛
HOUSE OF TROY is doing an awesome service project! Please read and follow the links/emails provided.
http://events.stjude.org/house_of_troy
Troy is seeking to create a bigger impact and have a wider reach in our “community.” This project would allow our entire school to be united for a cause but also to change the lives of children throughout the nation. St. Jude Children’s Research hospital is the leader of pediatric cancer research in America, serving patients from every state. However, they are unique in the fact that parents and families of patients never receive a bill for their treatment. With even a small donation from each Xavier family, we have the potential to change children’s lives throughout the nation.
Help our small community make a big difference!
*if you have questions please do not contact your child’s teacher, as they are not in charge of this project, instead please email
Sra. Blanco (House of Troy’s teacher advisor) at [email protected] (email) and
Aiden McFarland (House of Troy’s service leader who is in charge of this project) at [email protected] (email)

Atoms on display in 4th grade!! Can you find your kiddo and their creation?
Here are some clips of the All-State choirs in action and a note from Mr McGhee :
These four wonderful musicians tried out for All-State choir and were selected to sing with a large group of the best singers in the state. They were required to know their music before arriving and worked for three long days to perfect their music as a large ensemble. They had the opportunity to work under a few of the nation's top clinicians and performed at NNU in Nampa.

Some clips from the Roman Festival! 🏛🏺

These four students auditioned and were selected for the Idaho Music Educator’s Association All-State Music (Choir) They are representing Xavier at a three day conference in Nampa/NNU and will perform this weekend. (Mayalei Yates, McKenzie Armstrong, Presley Ridenour, and Sawyer Ridenour)
