I hope this is allowed but I wanted everyone to know how grateful we are for the background our children received at Xavier Charter School. Here is the latest photo of my youngest who is now an official soldier in the U.S. Army. He has been gone since August 3rd and has just completed all of his training. He will be doing a one-year duty in South Korea in the new year. Thank you to everyone. Xavier Charter School will always hold an extremely special place in the hearts of everyone in my family.
hello everyone. We will always remember our years at Xavier charter school so very fondly, and think of you all often. I just wanted to post an update here. Ryan Phelan who graduated from the eighth grade at Xavier in 2016, graduated on July 9th, 2020 from Seabreeze Senior High School in Daytona Beach Florida, with Cuma Laude honors. He is now in the U.S. Army and currently based at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He left for boot camp on August 3rd. He will be learning some maintenance for high-security artillery such as the Patriot missile and has enlisted for three years. He plans to attend college after his military service and looks forward to traveling around the world.
Don’t Cancel Prom or Graduation. Reschedule it, even if it’s June, July or August. Don’t take that away from them.
Are children allowed to wear Halloween costumes today for school?
Sadie Hawkins... Aiden dopson dressed in the French Colors head to toe, while our French Foreign Exchange Student was dressed in The American Flag. Cute.
Do any Xavier parents have some of these Goodness, Beauty, Truth shirts they’d like to sell? My boys really like them and they’re not available anymore. Sizes 10-12, 8-10, and 6-8. PMM. Thanks so much!
Thank you to the teachers at Xavier Charter School. Mikayla Hill has learned the skills to excel in college. So much of this is what you have taught her. Thank you Again!!

May their names echo down through the centuries alongside former heroic legends like Beowulf and Hercules!

Some chosen Choir and Band students got to spend two days learning music and skills in their craft. They performed the pieces they had learned in a concert Thursday night. It was spectacular! We have some real talent at Xavier.

Mr Hicks has been here since the beginning and so many students lives have been better because of it! Here’s what he has to say about himself…
“Dude from Idaho, likes to fish and make things. Went to a lot of school is currently buried under a lifetime amount of debt because of it…currently looks like atlas - has three beautiful women in his life two of which are still teenagers-oldest a freshman in college and youngest a senior in highschool.”

In response to the humanitarian crisis and ethnic cleansing campaign last week against the Armenians of Artsakh, our student government helped to paint the Phoenix and are helping gather warm clothing, socks, thermals, coats, sweaters, hats, gloves, baby clothes, hygiene essentials and other items to be sent to Yerevan (the capitol of Armenia). These can be donated at the Fall frolic. Please Email Mrs Maki for further information.

One of our seniors, Rengin Kurtcu, put together this yoga morning! It was an event for the Behind the Scenes club, which is her senior project. They had lots of good laughs, a ton of fun, and everyone loved the instructor, Ranie. The club plans on doing other events throughout the upcoming school year, including another Yoga morning!

Mr Goss is our Secondary Principal. Fun fact: His Bostonian accent can still be detected!

“In 1988 I moved from Boston, to a ranch 10 miles No. of Bliss. I was seeking an adventure and a change from city life. It took some getting used to, but I love Southern Idaho, the wide-open spaces and the friendly people who live here. Like me, my wife is in education. She is currently the librarian at Twin Falls High School. We have two children. My son is currently a medical doctor in the US Army at Walter Reed hospital in Washington DC and my daughter is a registered nurse in the ICU unit at the University of Colorado Hospital in Fort Collins.

I spend a lot of my free time, hiking, fly tying and fly fishing throughout the West. When I have longer vacations I head back East and fish the North Atlantic off the coast of Rhode Island.

Hi Everyone! I am Mrs. D. This will be my 24th year teaching. I moved back to teaching Kindergarten this year and I am loving it! My favorite subject to teach is reading.

My husband and I have 2 girls that attend our school. I taught both in Kindergarten many years ago. Now they are in the 11th and 9th grade.

I enjoy gardening, reading, catching up with my sister on the phone, going on walks and spending time with my family.

Hello! I am Mindy Stewart! I first started my education career teaching preschool for 9 years. I have also taught kindergarten and was the director of a Christian school. I was a stay home mom for awhile with my 4 kids (current ages 23, 22, 14 and 10). During that time I volunteered daily each of their classrooms.

This is my 6th year teaching 2nd grade at Xavier. I absolutely love connecting and making lasting relationships with my students and their families!

Outside of Xavier, I spend my time with my family in the outdoors (looking for wildlife, lichen and rocks). I am obsessed with any and all books! I also spend as much time as I can with my 1 year old grandson (who is the cutest grand-baby EVER)!

I have 2 dogs, 3 cats and a gecko (named Oreo by a former class of my Xavier students….they are now in 6th grade!

Somehow, Mr McGhee will get these beginning band students sounding awesome by performance time 😂

Photos from Xavier Charter School's post 09/23/2023

Mr McGhee is our Secondary Music teacher. He began a new music productions class this year and also oversees Treble Rebels and Jazz Band after school. He refuses to ever put the spotlight on himself so I’ll say a couple things for him…
Will McGhee is a music talent and a teacher who loves encouraging young musicians. This is his sixth year at Xavier. While his specialty is the Sax, he can figure out how to play any instrument. He is a mentor and example to our students. He is as serious as one can get, but his daughter can bring out a smile that is genuine happiness! We are lucky to have him.

We are the front office staff at Xavier Charter School. We love seeing the kids come by every day and watching them grow! We are the official band aid dispensers of the school, and help to make sure the kids get where they need to be safely. Mrs. Young has been with Xavier for 18 years since the school opened. She enjoys spending time with her grandkids, sitting in the she shed and relaxing with her husband, and shopping. Mrs. Norris has been with Xavier for 3 years. She loves travelling with her family, her dogs Leo and Archer, and reading. This is Mrs. Requa's first year at Xavier! She farms and ranches with her husband, enjoys travelling, loves spending time with her dog Oliver and her pet bull Cleatus. We are looking forward to a fantastic school year.
