Dear Xavier Families,

New legislation requires each public school in the state of Idaho to provide the following notification to all families.

This notice is provided to inform you that the Xavier Charter School will observe a minute of silence at or near the beginning of each school day.

During this minute, your student may sit quietly or engage in any silent activity permitted by school rules and Xavier Charter School policy as long as it doesn’t distract or interfere with other students. Disruption of the minute of silence may result in disciplinary action.

We encourage you to offer direction to your child on silent reflection or activity to engage in during the minute of silence.

The minute of silence and provision of this notice are required by Idaho Code.

Science came to life in Biology this spring as Xavier students took part in one of the year's most memorable labs: a pig dissection. By examining real anatomical structures and organ systems, students gained a deeper understanding of the form and function they've been studying in class.

Each year, a portion of Xavier’s student fees helps bring professional performing arts experiences directly to our school.

This year, our elementary students enjoyed “The Keepers of the Wood”, presented by Idaho Theater for Youth, a part of the Idaho Shakespeare Festival's educational outreach program. Our secondary students also had the opportunity to experience a live performance of “The Tempest” without ever leaving campus.

These productions enrich our classical curriculum, introduce students to the performing arts, and make literature come alive in a memorable way. We are grateful to our families whose student fees help make experiences like these possible!

Today we're looking back at 2017's Third Grade Roman Festival, a beloved Xavier tradition!

After studying ancient Rome, our third graders celebrated their learning with a special performance featuring the poems, stories, and fascinating facts they discovered throughout their unit. Dressed as Romans and sharing what they learned, students had the opportunity to step into the world they had been studying and share their knowledge with family and friends.

Enjoy these photos from a favorite Xavier tradition! Do you recognize any of our young Romans?

Our 3rd graders stepped into Alice in Wonderland through a "draw along" activity! With guidance from secondary students in the House of Athens, they brought favorite characters to life while practicing their artistic skills.

It was a wonderful opportunity for younger and older students to learn together and share in the joy of creativity.

Thank you to our House of Athens students for making this experience so memorable!

Our 8th grade Career Explorations class gives students the opportunity to learn firsthand about a wide variety of professions through presentations from parents and community members.

By sharing their experiences, these guest speakers help students discover career possibilities, learn about different educational paths, and gain valuable insight into the world of work.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to invest in our students and inspire them as they begin exploring their futures!

It’s a Throwback Thursday to 2013 for one of Xavier's favorite Event Day traditions: Ave Nona!

On Event Day our ninth-grade students step into the world of the ancients, bringing the literature and mythology they've studied to life through a day of friendly competition, spirited games, epic battles, and, of course, a feast worthy of the gods.

After completing their astronomy unit, our 5th graders created a space museum! Each student researched a planet or feature of our universe, created a model, wrote an informative essay, and presented their work to visiting students and teachers.

The result was a museum full of curiosity, creativity, and impressive scientific knowledge. Great work, 5th grade!

Every day, more than 650 students walk through our doors ready to learn, grow, and thrive. While teachers are often the most visible part of that journey, countless others work behind the scenes to make it all possible.

From preparing meals and keeping our campus clean and safe to answering phones, welcoming visitors, helping families, managing paperwork, and solving a hundred unexpected problems each day, our support staff are the backbone of Xavier.

Thank you for your dedication, service, and care. Our school would not be the same without you.
