Our 7th graders got to tour the Old State Penitentiary. They learned some cool historical facts. The Prison Guides said that our students were some of the best they'd ever had come through!

Ms. DeLaCruz's Culinary Arts Students tested their creative skills by making some holiday cookies. They were then judged by Mrs Praegitzer and Mrs Boden.

Considering the recent tragedy at the University of Idaho, a candlelight vigil has been scheduled for Wed., Nov. 30, 2022 at 5 p.m. PT/6 p.m. MT in Moscow, ID at the University of Idaho. The University of Idaho has asked their partners from across the United States to stand in solidarity during this difficult time. As a symbol of this united support, we would like to offer the opportunity for Twin Falls School District staff and students to wear U of I Black and Gold tomorrow, Wed., Nov. 30. Additionally, our schools will be lighting our outside athletic fields from 3-6 p,m. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Vandal family as we collectively cope with this tragic loss.

Today was our Thanksgiving dinner. Each year our amazing staff serves the students.

Last night SHMS hosted a wrestling meet.

Jacoby Boguslawski placed 5th in the individual tournament on Monday out of 44 kids.

The Wings n things event was a huge success for SHMS. Our clubs and teams brought in a total of $2387.50. That may be the most a middle school has ever made at the event. Way to Go Cougars!

Today's spirit day was Throw Back Thursday. Staff students had a lot of fun with this one.

For our first Cougar Games the students played a friendly game of dodge ball.

On Tuesday our Juntos Class went to CSI for the Hispanic Youth Leadership Conference. The students attended several workshops for leadership and also visited different college representatives. Over 800 students attended the conference and they had a great time.

Today is Spirit Day and the SHMS student body went on the field to take a photo in their spirit gear. We got an amazing picture with a drone that will be shared soon!

Canyon Ridge High School held a Middle School Volleyball night. They invited all 3 middle school volleyball teams to the event where they were celebrated.

Tomorrow is Sprit Day!!!
Don't forget to wear your spirit shirts that you received for the school picture!

SHMS students and staff sure do know how to have fun with spirit days. Today is Character Day!

Our peer and adult leaders went through their training for Sources of Strength. They learned many activities meant to help them engage in conversations with students in the school. They also run activities that promote the well being of everyone at South Hills Middle School.
