We have more preschool openings for the 2023-2024 school year! Preschool begins September 1st for children ages 3+ by September 1st, 2023. We offer part-time and full-time options to meet family needs. There are Monday-Friday, Monday/Wednesday/Friday, and Tuesday/Thursday options available. We are SO excited for our first ever Scholastic book fair! Stop by tonight to make your wish lists before the store opens Monday. Book fair hours next week are 7:30 AM-9:30 AM and 3:00 PM-6:00 PM. If we are able to, we will try to open registers for a few hours tonight. If you are passionate about getting certain books, come Monday to make sure you can get your favorites! We can place more orders of books sell out or help families order online. There are books for ages infant-middle school! Happy reading everyone!

Our first PAWS Cubs Parent Club meeting is April 21st at 5:15 PM. We will be discussing teacher appreciation week, the book fair, and end of the year events. All CDC families are welcome!

Our new music and library room and program is officially underway! We are so excited to start this project so that the children can start attending regular music and library classes in September. If you would like to donate to help us make this dream a reality for generations to come, please find more information on the link below and on Procare.

Donors who donate $50+ will receive a special card from staff and students. Donors who donate $100+ will receive a special book and thank you from staff and students. Donors who donate $250+ will receive a special book and thank you, a library book dedicated to them in the school library, and a special spot on the walls or bookshelves with their family name. We are hiring! Due to high demand, we need more amazing teachers to complete our team. If you or someone you know is passionate about teaching in early childhood education, please contact Ms. Sarah at [email protected]. The positions we are hiring for are:
-3:00 PM-6:00 PM Preschool Closing Teacher
-11:00 AM-6:00 PM Floater Teacher (Lunches, AM Staff Relief, and Closing)
-8:00 AM-5:00 PM Preschool Teacher (Would be in training until June of 2023. Shift would start at 9-6 during training but transition to 8-5 come June 1st)

Pay varies depending on experience and education in the Early Childhood Education field. PTO and benefits are offered to full-time employees. We look forward to completing our team!

Last week was Read Across America week and Dr. Seuss week! During this fun week our students focused on literature while bringing some of their favorite characters and story concepts to life. Thank you to our amazing volunteers, including Shawnee Burt, Officer Kuder, and Officer Bramwell for volunteering your time to celebrate Read Across America week with our classes. In addition to all of the stories and the wonderful volunteers who made last week special, the children got to dress up for spirit week, got a visit from the Cat in the Hat (Mrs. Chris!), and got the opportunity to try real green eggs and ham.

Open enrollment is now in full swing! Here are the spots we have open for the 2023 school year, which begins September 1st. Summer is 100% full at this time.

Infants: *Potentially* 1 Monday/Wednesday/Friday spot

Toddlers: Full and wait listing

Preschool Prep: Full and wait listing

Preschool: 9 Monday-Friday spots, 1 Monday/Wednesday/Friday Spot

Pre-K: Full at the CDC (call our sister campus, ILS, at (208) 733-7820 to inquire about Pre-K)

We are so thankful for our returning CDC families and our new families who were able to join us from the wait list. We can't wait for another great year!

Dear Staff and Immanuel Parents

As some of you may be aware, we have been receiving grant funds that have enabled us to cover staffing costs, purchase snacks, materials, and classroom furniture, and procure janitorial service. These funds were provided to benefit children enrolled in the CDC and extended care at ILS. Currently all grants are slated to cease at the end of May, 2023. Our state legislators are voting as early as next week on whether or not to extend these payments until the end of the fiscal year. There is the potential that if a vote is not decided, that grant funds may not be paid out in the month of March, and all programs in our state have relied heavily on these funds in order to provide quality programs. On behalf of all childcare facilities in our state who rely on these funds, we are asking staff and parents of children enrolled in Immanuel to please contact their legislators and ask them to vote favorably on extending the grant funds through the end of the fiscal year. The attached flier explains who to contact about this important issue.
