Pinecrest Academy of Idaho is looking for a dependable and friendly Kitchen Assistant to join our team!

This is a great part-time opportunity for someone who enjoys working with kids and wants a schedule that works well with a school day.

Position details:
• Monday–Thursday: 11:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
• Friday: 10:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
• $14/hour
• Part-time
• Help serve lunch to Pinecrest students each day

🧬 Science in action at Pinecrest!

Mr. Reynolds’ 8th grade students got hands-on with biology as they extracted DNA from strawberries! Students used scientific processes to isolate and observe the genetic material found inside living organisms.

Arrival & Dismissal Reminders

After observing arrival and dismissal during the first couple of days of school, we have noticed a few areas where some reminders will help us keep traffic moving smoothly and, most importantly, keep everyone safe.

We recognize that our parking lot has some limitations, particularly during busy arrival and dismissal times. While we cannot change the physical layout, we can all work together to make the best use of the space we have.

A few important reminders:

• Please remain in the car line. Do not drive around the line of vehicles and cut back in farther ahead to drop off your student. This creates delays for families who are waiting their turn and disrupts the flow of traffic.

• Use the designated drop-off area. Please pull forward as far as possible before allowing your student to exit the vehicle.

• Do not drop students in moving traffic lanes. For everyone's safety, students should only exit vehicles in the designated drop-off area.

• Use the crosswalk at Harrison. There is no crosswalk directly in front of the school. Please do not cross Orchard Dr. in front of the school.

• Right turn only when exiting the Pinecrest parking lot. There is no left turn out of the parking lot onto Orchard Dr.

• Follow staff directions. Our staff are outside to help direct traffic and keep students and families safe.

We all have a role to play in making arrival and dismissal run smoothly. When everyone follows the same procedures, remains in line, pulls forward, and follows staff directions, we can keep traffic moving efficiently and get everyone safely in and out of the school.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we establish these routines. Working together, we can make arrival and dismissal as safe and efficient as possible for everyone.

What a great first day at Pinecrest Academy! It was so good to see our Stallions back in the building, reconnecting with friends, meeting new teachers, and getting learning underway.

Thank you for your patience at drop-off and pick-up as we all learn and settle into our routines and procedures. We appreciate it!

🎉 Back to School Night is Almost Here! 🎉

We can't wait to welcome our Stallion families back to Pinecrest Academy for an evening of excitement as we kick off another incredible school year!

🕓 4:00–6:00 PM

Join us to:
📋 Find your student's teacher on the posted class lists (classroom assignments will not be available until Back to School Night)
🎒 Drop off school supplies in classrooms
🔍 Participate in a school-wide scavenger hunt for a chance to win prizes
👕 Order your Pinecrest spirit wear from Magic Valley Mobile Swag, who will be on site throughout the event

This is a great opportunity for students to get comfortable with the school, meet teachers, and start the year with excitement. We hope every family can join us!
