Our Summer 2026 Kid Country Daycare Newsletter is here! ☀️

This summer brought plenty to celebrate, from fresh-squeezed lemonade at the Twin Bridges Floating Flotilla and Fair Bingo to our first Postcards Across Montana project, which has already brought responses from 33 Montana counties. We’re also grateful for a 3 Rivers Communications technology grant and the many families, businesses, volunteers and community members who continue to support Kid Country in so many ways.

Inside this issue, you’ll also find an update from our director, upcoming community events and a look ahead as Kid Country prepares to celebrate 25 years of serving local families in 2027.

📚 The school year is right around the corner, and Kid Country is hiring!

We are looking for a part-time assistant, age 16+, to join our team at Kid Country Daycare in Twin Bridges. This is a flexible position that could be a great fit for someone looking for a few consistent hours each week while being part of a fun, active, and rewarding environment.

Preferred hours include:
• 8:00–10:00 AM and/or 3:30–5:30 PM
• Optional substitute hours may also be available
• Monday–Friday, with no weekends!

Kid Country is open year-round and offers competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to work alongside a fantastic group of children, families, and staff. The countdown is on! Join us August 6th-8th from Noon to 6:00 PM each day at the Fairgrounds Pavilion for a chance to win great prizes while supporting a cause that benefits local families.

For just 50¢ per card, you can play as many games as you'd like throughout the day! All ages are welcome!

Thanks to the generosity of our local businesses and community members, we'll have prizes ranging from gift baskets and children's toys to kitchen items, games, inflatables, local gift certificates, and much more.

Every card purchased helps support Kid Country Daycare, our local nonprofit childcare program serving families throughout the Ruby Valley.

🍋 Stop by the Kid Country Daycare Lemonade Stand during the Flotilla! 🍋

Find us at Jensen Park Saturday, July 25 as we host our 2nd annual lemonade stand during the Flotilla! Stop by, say hello, and grab a refreshing drink! Lemonade should be ready to serve by 11am.

Enjoy a glass of fresh squeezed lemonade, made with lemons generously donated by Berkshire Hathaway. If you're out enjoying all the Flotilla festivities this Saturday, we'd love to see you.

Please share!!! We are still missing some counties, send more postcards!

Help our kids explore all 56 Montana counties!

We’re kicking off Postcards Across Montana for 406 Day and carrying it through the 250th anniversary of Independence. Inspired by projects like Postcards Across America, we’ve brought the idea closer to home to help kids learn about their state and neighbors.

Send a postcard or short note from your county with one simple, kid-friendly fact. It can be anything—local history, a landmark, wildlife, a community event, or something your county is known for.

As cards come in, we’ll read them together and mark each one on our Montana map, helping the kids see how it all connects.
