We are hiring a Lead Infant Teacher at Grandma’s House Childcare.
We are seeking a passionate, nurturing, and energetic Lead Infant Teacher to join our team. This role involves guiding daily classroom care and activities, supporting developmental growth, and maintaining a safe, structured, faith-based environment for infants.

Position Overview
The Lead Infant Teacher will:
Lead daily classroom routines and care for infants
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities
Observe and document developmental progress
Supervise and support assistant and float staff
Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment
Communicate regularly with families
Use positive guidance strategies to support social and emotional development
Requirements
Must be at least 19 years old with a high school diploma or GED
Must meet Michigan Lead Teacher qualifications (or be eligible to complete requirements), which generally include one of the following pathways:
Associate degree or higher in early childhood education or a related field, or
Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with experience, or
High school diploma/GED plus required early childhood coursework and experience hours as defined by Michigan licensing rules
Infant/toddler experience preferred
CPR/First Aid preferred or willingness to obtain
Must pass required background checks
Schedule
Minimum of 6 hours per day with flexible scheduling when possible
