✂️ Our friends were hard at work today, carefully cutting paper and practicing those growing fine motor skills!

Little hands worked with focus and concentration as they learned to open and close their scissors, follow lines, and make careful cuts. Some friends took their time, while others excitedly explored their own creative ideas.

Activities like cutting may seem simple, but they’re helping our friends build hand strength, coordination, control, and confidence — important skills they’ll carry with them into writing and so much more! 💛✨

We love watching those little hands grow stronger with every snip! ✂️

We have a month full of exciting activities, silly spirit days, special celebrations, and lots of Halloween fun planned for our little learners! We are also very excited to host our 1st Annual Trunk or Treat! 🚗🍬🎃

Back-to-School Night at Goddard! 🍎📚✨

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
