I’m excited to be back out on the campaign trail for Kamala Harris!

Today, I’ll be with Alicia Keys in Norristown, Pennsylvania, making my closing argument about why this election is so important to the progress we seek. With only three days left, we’ve all got to organize, knock on doors, and make calls.

Go to Go.KamalaHarris.com to find out how you can !

Greetings Fellow Educator!

Macon County Schools needs your expertise and experience as we transform the lives of every student in our charge. Macon County Schools is located 20 minutes outside of Montgomery and Auburn directly off Interstate 85. We offer a small community experience for our students and employees. Will you help us educate our much deserving students during the 2023-2024 school year?

Our first elementary opening (FOURTH GRADE) is at Notasulga High School (NHS) in Notasaulga, Alabama. NHS has roughly 330 students and is a K-12 school that is nestled in a charming, close-knit community right off Interstate 85. Students are separated by grade spans in different buildings to ensure that students are provided with age-appropriate experiences. NHS offers a variety of extracurricular activities for students and is currently designated as a 1A school for interscholastic sports. The stadium is packed during a football game with significant community support! NHS is a very unique school that has a lot to offer! The most recent graduating class had 20 students. As a teacher you will be able to follow your students through their senior year since NHS has all grades! NHS is 10 minutes away from Auburn and 30 minutes from Montgomery.

Our second elementary opening (SECOND GRADE) is located at Deborah Cannon Wolfe Elementary School (DC Wolfe) in Shorter, Alabama. DC Wolfe has 150 students in grades PK-6 and easily accessible right off Interstate 85. DC Wolfe is starting an exciting preschool program this year, and the small enrollment at DC Wolfe provides a rich community experience. Teachers enjoy small class sizes and are to develop strong relationships with students. DC Wolfe also offers robust extracurricular offerings for students to include the 21st Century Learning Program and an after school program entitled, Shorter Outreach, that focuses on helping children study agriculture. DC Wolfe is an exciting place! DC Wolfe is 20 minutes away from Montgomery and Auburn.

Our last elementary opening (SIXTH GRADE) is at Tuskegee Public Elementary School (TPES) in Tuskegee, Alabama. TPES has roughly 300 students and is an intermediate school with grades 4-6. Students benefit from the intermediate education focus that the school offers and are better prepared to transition to junior high school in the seventh grade. Students enjoy departmentalized courses in sixth grade to better prepare them for junior high school. TPES is located in the historic City of Tuskegee near downtown and is housed in the former Tuskegee High School building. Students participate in a variety of exploratory experiences to include field trips and extracurricular activities. TPES is a special school that has tremendous community support. TPES is 30 minutes from Montgomery and 20 minutes from Auburn!

Our last elementary opening (THIRD GRADE) is at George Washington Carver Elementary School (GWCES) in Tuskegee, Alabama. GWCES has roughly 350 students and is a primary school with grades K-3. GWCES targets the foundational skills that students need to successfully transition to our intermediate school. GWCES offers a variety of programs for students that support mental health, academic achievement, and discipline. GWCES was recently built in 2009. Teachers enjoy large classroom spaces with small class sizes. GWCES provides a professional atmostphere where teachers feel supported. Teachers repeatedly say that GWCES has incredible climate and culture. GWCES is 35 minutes from Montgomery and 30 minutes from Auburn.
