🍀 TUESDAY OF NATIONAL 4-H WEEK 2026 🍀

Celebrating Our Macon County School 4-H Clubs!

Today, on Tuesday of National 4-H Week, we’re shining the spotlight on the incredible 4-H Clubs in our Macon County, Alabama schools! 💚

From elementary school through high school, our 4-H members are learning, leading, serving, and developing skills that will last a lifetime.

👏🏽 We proudly recognize our 4-H Clubs at Notasulga High School, Booker T. Washington High School, Tuskegee Public School, George Washington Carver Elementary School, D.C. Wolfe Elementary School, and throughout Macon County Schools!

To every student who participates, every teacher and school administrator who supports our programs, and every family who encourages our young people, WE SEE YOU! WE APPRECIATE YOU! WE ARE PROUD OF YOU! 🌟

Although our young people attend different schools, they are united through the values of Head, Heart, Hands, and Health. 🍀

CONGRATULATIONS 🎉

Amelia Mitchell has been named County Extension Operations Director for the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, effective Oct. 5. The statewide leadership role focuses on strengthening county operations, local partnerships and program delivery across Alabama’s 67 counties.

“Amelia brings deep county experience, a clear understanding of community needs and a proven ability to build partnerships that strengthen Extension’s statewide reach,” said Alabama Extension Director Eve Brantley. “Her leadership will help ensure our county offices remain responsive, accountable and connected to the people we serve.”

As County Extension Operations Director, Mitchell will work with county commissions, advisory systems, support units and campus partners. Together, they will strengthen local funding portfolios, improve data-informed planning and evaluation, support Civil Rights audit readiness and promote equitable access to Extension programs.
