On this Fourth of July, as the nation reflects on freedom and independence, the Tuskegee Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. pauses to celebrate a monumental, parallel milestone in American history—the founding of Mother Tuskegee on July 4, 1881.

The History That Enlightens 💡
Imagine the sheer determination of 1881. In an era fraught with systematic barriers, a visionary leader named Booker T. Washington arrived in Alabama to build something out of nothing. Armed with only a $2,000 appropriation for teacher salaries—but zero budget for land or buildings—he didn't see scarcity; he saw opportunity. As Dr. Washington noted, he "set July 4, 1881, as the day for the opening of the school in the little shanty and church which had been secured for its accommodation". From those humble wooden structures, students literally fired the bricks to build the historic campus we revere today.

The Mission That Educates 📚
Tuskegee was not built just to grant degrees; it was engineered to cultivate self-reliance, leadership, and excellence. What an absolute blessing and a monumental milestone to witness!

Today, our hearts are overflowing with pride, excitement, and deep gratitude as we celebrate two of the most dedicated, driven, and inspiring people I know

—my Fraternity Line Brother, Corey Jones(Spr ‘25), and his incredible wife, Loly Jones, graduating together from the **American Military University**! 🎓✨

Talk about a power couple defining what it means to achieve at the highest level. Doing this while balancing life’s demands is one thing, but crossing the exact same stage at AMU together is next level.

Loly has officially earned her ***Bachelor of Science in Information Science***, standing at the cutting edge of tech and innovation. At the exact same time, my LB Corey has achieved his ♦️♦️♦️Master of Arts in History♦️♦️♦️, dedicated to preserving legacy, culture, and truth.

To see a husband and wife grind together, sacrifice together, and graduate from the same institution together is nothing short of legendary. You both are the ultimate blueprint for partnership, resilience, and excellence.
As a brother, it brings me immense pride to watch Corey embody our fundamental
purpose of ♦️♦️♦️Achievement in Every Endeavor👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿. His accomplishments, alongside Loly’s brilliant success, reflect the very best of our fraternity's ideals.
