Gabrielle Branstetter from the Miller County Extension office read to the preschoolers at Nurtured Growth Childcare Center. The kids learned how flowers grow from tiny seeds. We also learned about good and bad bugs in the garden, like the garden spider in this jar.

The Miller County Extension office has some 4-H projects from the State Fair that need to be picked up. We are open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Thursday. Call our office if you have questions, 573-369-2394.

Grayson Rush has been working hard all summer with his steer named Bubba. He’s had success at other shows already but tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. Grayson and Bubba will enter the ring at the MO State Fair. We hope you have a great day!

Carter Reinkemeyer of the St. Anthony 4-H Club is State Fair ready with his steer named Jackpot! He will show Tuesday the 18th, directly after the market heifer show at 8am. We are cheering you on Carter!

Preston Plassmeyer of the St. Anthony 4-H Club had a great day at the MO State Fair. Preston showed his heifer in the Maintainer Class at Donnelly Arena.

Judd, Wyatt and Isaiah Abbott are pictured taking care of their show animals. You can watch them compete on Monday at 9:00 a.m. at the MFA Arena. If you visit the MO State Fair on Thursday they will compete in the open red angus show at 9:00 a.m. in the Coliseum. Let’s cheer them on!
