🐂🐖🐑🐐 JIM NED FFA LIVESTOCK MEETING 🐐🐑🐖🐂
Are you planning to show an animal this school year? Interested in showing but not sure where to start? This meeting is for you!
📅 Thursday, August 13
⏰ 7:00 PM
📍 Jim Ned School Ag Building
⭐ This meeting is open to ANY Jim Ned student in Grades 3–12 who is interested in showing livestock this school year! ⭐
We would like all students and parents who plan to show livestock this year to attend. We especially encourage families who are new to Jim Ned, younger students interested in getting started, and anyone who may be considering showing an animal for the first time.
We will cover several important topics to help everyone prepare for the upcoming show season, including:
🐷 Validation tag orders & important due dates
🐑 Local and Taylor County livestock show dates
🐐 Use of the Jim Ned Ag Farm and expectations for exhibitors
🐂 When animals need to be purchased and what to look for
📋 Important deadlines and information for the upcoming show season
❓ Questions from students and parents
We will also introduce our new Ag Science teacher, Shay Meyerhoff, who will be assisting with the livestock program this year! We are excited to have Shay join Jim Ned FFA and work with our students and families.
Don’t already have an animal? That’s okay! If you are in Grades 3–12 and even thinking about showing this year, come to the meeting. We can help answer questions about species, purchasing timelines, costs, facilities, and what it takes to get started.
🐖🐑🐐🐂 New exhibitors are welcome — no experience necessary!
Please help us spread the word and share this post with any Jim Ned families who might be interested!
See you Thursday, August 13 at 7:00 PM!
