Please join us in welcoming several outstanding educators to the Skyland family for the 2026–2027 school year!

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Bedwell to our Kindergarten team, Ms. Hathcock to 1st Grade, Mrs. Haynes to 2nd Grade, Ms. Little to 4th Grade, Ms. McCarter as our art teacher, and Mrs. Morrison as our Speech Language Pathologist.

We are also thrilled to celebrate Mrs. McIntosh as she begins her new role on our 5th Grade team after serving in Kindergarten, and Mrs. Luna as she transitions from Kindergarten to our ESL teacher.

Each of these talented educators brings unique gifts, passion, and dedication to serving our students. We are excited for the positive impact they will have on our school community this year. Welcome to the team, and welcome to your new roles. We are so glad you are here!

Earlier this week, the Skyland team came together for a day of learning, collaboration, and connection at our Faculty Retreat! Erica Thompson and Jessica Finklea shared engaging strategies for SEL and de-escalation, while Jennifer Eggers and Angie Morrison provided valuable information on EL services and supports. We also enjoyed welcoming our newest team members through music, games, laughter, and team-building as we prepare for an incredible school year.

A special thank you to our Skyland Leadership Team for planning a wonderful retreat and to Crimson Tap House for providing a great venue, outstanding service, and delicious food. We can't wait to welcome our students back to Skyland!
