Passing of the elementary music “baton”…
We would like to introduce Mercedes Childers to you and welcome her to ACA! Ms. Childers will be filling the position of Elementary Music Teacher & Assistant Band Director when Amy Whitaker has to leave us at the end of this year.
Thank you, Mrs. Whitaker, for the years you have invested in our students! We pray God’s blessings over your family as you move to Illinois.
Ms. Childers comes to us from Oneonta Elementary School. She attended Jacksonville State University where she played saxophone in the jazz band and marched with the Southerners. Our students will know her as MRS. QUINN as she will be marrying our percussion instructor, Todd Quinn, on June 1st!

Guiding them in their journey of faith and character development is a responsibility I embrace wholeheartedly as it aligns with the scriptures, particularly 1 Peter 4:10-11. The ACA TALENT SHOW is back! We will be holding both elementary and 6th-12th shows on Wednesday, April 3rd!
Please be watching your email this week for important dates and information. Prelim auditions will again be held virtually.

Giving thanks with lots of smiles in the band room these days for 3 new “members” this semester! Our bass trombone, four concert toms, and percussion storage cabinet will be used by many students for years to come. THANK YOU to those who invest in our students’ music education!
