Just in time for graduation season, OLLI proudly celebrates its very own graduate, Olli! 🎓 After diligent training and lots of hard work, he has successfully completed obedience school. 🐶

OLLI member Suzanne Koski couldn't be prouder to see her new grad reach this milestone. It's a special moment for both of them, marking the beginning of many more adventures together.

For the continued celebration of America250, OLLI members recently visited the American Village in Montevallo, AL. The group started their day with a warm welcome from American Village CEO, Col. Alan Miller, and then enjoyed inspiring words of wisdom from the spirit of Benjamin Franklin.

The tour included a visit to the impressive National Veterans Shrine and a walk through Independence Hall, immersing our members in the rich history of our nation. 🇺🇸 It was a memorable experience, honoring America's past and celebrating its future! 🎉

OLLI member Rama Pidikiti was thrilled to host OTIDE members for a fun lunch. 🍲 It’s just a small way she likes to say thank you to the OLLI and OTIDE teams for all their hard work throughout the year to make OLLI such a wonderful program. 🌟

Our celebration of 250 years of America continues all summer! A big thank you to the Crimson Pride Chorus for sharing their talent with us through patriotic songs during the Lagniappe – Various Topics series, offered this summer as free public events. 🎶🇺🇸

Our Bham OLLI bunch had an amazing time making some new feathered and scaly friends 🦜🐢 during a fun-filled field trip to Oak Mountain State Park🌳. It was a wonderful day of nature, learning and connection! 🌞🌿

We'd like to welcome OLLI’s new program coordinator for curriculum, Savannah Black! 🎉

A Tuscaloosa native, Savannah is passionate about education and community engagement. Earning degrees from The University of Alabama, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in History (2013) and an MA in Secondary Education (2019).
She worked in student programming and outreach at the University from 2013 to 2017. From 2019 to 2026, she taught civics, geography, and ancient world history at Sipsey Valley Middle School.

Outside of work, Savannah enjoys reading, mahjong, tennis and spending time with her husband Cameron and son Hargrove. She values connecting with others through shared interests and lifelong learning. ✨

Happy National Mascot Day! 🎉 We want to showcase our own unofficial mascot, OLLI member Nancy Pearson’s adorable pet pup Phantom! 🐶✨

We are excited to announce and warmly welcome the new president of the OLLI Gadsden chapter, Forrest Hinton. We look forward to Forrest leading the Gadsden chapter and continuing to foster a welcoming environment where members can continue to learn, connect and grow together. ✨
