Join us on Tuesday, March 24th for our MPA Revival Concert entitled: “PLAY ON!” at Moody Music Building.
The HCHS Symphonic Band and HCHS Wind Ensemble were not able to perform at MPA this week due to weather cancellations, but thanks to our administrators, ABA district chairmen, the University of Alabama Music Department, and the Alabama Bandmaster’s Association we will be able to perform at this new date and time.
See you then!!

Congratulations to all 16 HCHS Band members who represented us this weekend at the ABA District 5 Honor Band! Our students had a great time rehearsing with their clinician, socializing with the top band members across the district, and some even had the opportunity to improvise and perform solos at the concert!

Come out and support our SEVEN ensembles this Thursday night as we prepare for our Music Performance Assessment!! We’re looking forward to a great time with bands from Hillcrest Middle School, Duncanville Middle School, and Hillcrest High School!
We have had quite the week at Hillcrest High School: Guest conductors, clinicians, the Black History Month Program, and the Visual Interest Meeting!! Thank goodness we have a 4 day weekend…

Congratulations to our students who auditioned last Saturday and were selected for the ABA All State and District V Honor Band! Our students have worked extremely hard and this is a huge accomplishment for all of them. We are SO proud of you. Go Pats!!!

Last Thursday & Friday, we had the honor of hosting the Duncanville & Hillcrest Middle School Concert Camp! The kids spent their time working with clinicians, sight reading, going to sectionals (predominantly led by our High Schoolers!), and making great memories together. We are so grateful to be able to spend time with the future of our program! GO PATS!!!

We had so much fun today seeing The Actor’s Charitable Theatre’s production of Tuck Everlasting. Special shoutout to Mr. Brent Jones and Baker Jones who were a part of the cast, and Serena Klein who was a part of the crew.

That’s a wrap for the 2026 Tuscaloosa County School System Honor Band. We had a BLAST getting to play with musicians from all over our county. Great things are happening here in TCSS.
The 2026 TCSS All County Honor Band is underway and our Hillcrest Patriots have been having a great time seeing friends across the county, sharing new experiences, and playing new music (especially Imaginarium).
