Today is National Fentanyl Awareness Day.
One pill can kill. Most who overdose never knew they were taking fentanyl.
Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid often mixed into counterfeit pills or other drugs without warning. It’s odorless, tasteless, and deadly in tiny amounts.
What you can do:
• Never take a pill that wasn’t prescribed to you
• Carry naloxone (Narcan) if you or someone you love uses substances
• Know the signs of an overdose—and how to respond
• Speak up: Your awareness could save a life
