After inclement weather conditions in November, BGSA is excited to announce the rescheduled date for our BGSA Day of Service.

On February 8th from 1-3 p.m. BGSA will be supporting the Prewitt Slave Cemetery Association, a group of descendants, to help preserve the site and provide further historical information about the people laid to rest there to their families. BGSA’s primary tasks will be clearing leaves, filling holes, and marking sites. The cemetery is the largest known burial ground for enslaved and formerly enslaved people in the United States.

A day on, not a day off. Join BGSA as we participate in MLK Service Day. To participate, fill out the sign up form in our bio and we will take it from there! Once signed up through the form in our bio, meet at the UA Student Center on January 20th at 8:00 a.m. to begin a day of hands on community service. We can’t wait to see you there.
