CES 5th Grade

Due to the threat of severe weather this afternoon/evening, the Tuscaloosa City Schools will dismiss early today, Wednesday, May 6. All after school activities are canceled. Elementary Schools, The Alberta School of Performing Arts, Tuscaloosa Magnet Schools, will dismiss at 11:30 a.m.

We came . We saw. We Conquered. First day of House challenges and the ICE House won! shout out to Ms. Herring and Mrs. Fikes Class as well for helping in our win. Team work makes the dream work!

5th Grade Supply List 📝

Wrapping up this 5th grade year has me deep in my feelings 💛

We worked so hard this year : we read 📖, we wrote ✍🏽, we learned, and we GREW!!! My students showed up every day ready to be challenged, and in return… they challenged me to be a better teacher. 💪🏾💥

One of my favorite parts of this year? Starting our very first classroom book club! 📚🧠✨ It was a total success, full of curiosity, creativity, and community. Watching them fall in love with reading in a new way was pure joy. 💫

I love teaching reading and writing with all my heart, and I’m so proud of how far we’ve come. This year will always hold a special place in my heart. 🫶🏾 I’m already excited for what’s to come next year but letting go of this group is definitely not easy 😭💐

To my kiddos: thank you for your effort, your growth, your energy, and your trust. You made this year unforgettable in more ways than just one! 💙🍎✨
