I am excited to share the initial press release announcing our recently awarded Department of Defense Minerva grant. Dr. Jameson Hayes, Dr. Brian Britt, and Dr. Matthew VanDyke will be working with Dr. Kate Brauman, the Global Water Security Center, and a multinational team using data science to evaluate societal resilience to water and climate shocks. Our Public Opinion Lab team will be developing algorithmic approaches to using news and social media data to better detect and understand subnational and international cooperation and conflict around water issues.
