Yesterday, students from local schools attended the Nick’s Kids Foundation giveaway luncheon, in representation of the Chrysalis Center which seeks to provide parents, students, and local community partners with the resources needed to address dyslexia in any academic setting in which our students attend.

Our most recent efforts have been to secure permanent dyslexia intervention services in each private school in Tuscaloosa. Tuscaloosa Academy, American Christian Academy, and North River Christian Academy have all made a commitment to provide dyslexia-intervention services at their institutions.

The dyslexia interventionists at these three schools have been trained and impacted by Chrysalis Center resources.”

Last week, with our littles and middle ones, we had Dr. Jessica Hoggle come and teach us all about drumming circles. We learned how to express our emotions through drumming, and the kids had the best time exploring beats, feelings, and rhythm!

Middle school students begin printing their pinewood derby car designs today on the 3D printers. They also are working on VEX IQ robots as well. Science really is cool.

Our middle schoolers began printing their pinewood derby car designs on our 3-D printer today. What an amazing opportunity for them to study robotics. They have also started on their Vex IQ robots, too.
