CESA 11 We exist to Serve, Educate and Lead. CESA 11, located in northwest central Wisconsin, encompasses all or major portions of Barron, Burnett, Dunn, St.

CESA 11, located in Turtle Lake, WI, offers a wide array of educational services to over 50,000 students and approximately 4,000 teachers in the thirty-nine school districts in our region. Cooperative Educational Service Agencies (CESAs) were created by statute to perform a variety of functions that are educational in nature with a focus on staff and student learning. Croix, Pepin, Pierce, Polk and Washburn counties as well as portions of Buffalo, Chippewa, Eau Claire, Rusk and Sawyer Counties. CESA #11 offers a wide array of educational services to over 50,000 students and approximately 4,000 teachers in the thirty-nine school districts within its boundaries. The agency also offers several regional and statewide services. Our goal at CESA 11 is to provide these services by working together with our partners in a cooperative, cost-effective manner in order to maximize our collective investment. We provide services to children, teachers, administrators, school boards and schools in the form of both direct and indirect educational services. Direct services include providing onsite teachers, paraeducators, therapists, etc. Indirect services include leadership, consultation, staff development, resource materials, grant administration, and other assistance to better serve the students in our schools. Our high-quality staff development opportunities keep high-quality professionals on the cutting edge, resulting in higher performing students.

CESA 11 celebrates Juniper Chapman, a Senior at Northstar Academy, for being selected as a Youth Mental Wellness Champion!

The Wisconsin Office of Children’s Mental Health (OCMH) hosts a cohort of 15 high school Juniors and Seniors from across the state meeting monthly during the academic year to learn about mental health. The 9-month program culminates with an in-person event at the State Capitol in Madison where each Champion will present a poster on a mental health topic important to them. 🍎➡️⚡ What if your school lunch leftovers could help power thousands of homes?

The River Falls School District is making that vision a reality as the first public school district in Wisconsin to partner with Vanguard Renewables to turn food waste into renewable energy. Students sort food scraps at school, which are then transported to Peterson Dairy Farm and combined with manure in a digester that produces renewable natural gas.

The result? Enough energy to power approximately 53,000 homes and businesses each year.
