FCTS Art Club

The mission of the Art Club provides members an opportunity to express individuality through art. The goal of Art Club is to
1.

Create a safe space, either real or virtual, for students to socialize and create art within a positive community. The advisor will facilitate art projects by gathering materials, preparing projects and teaching students how to create in a variety of hands-on mediums.
2. Provide all interested students with a creative outlet in a safe environment.
3. Participate and give to the community and to th

e school with artistic contributions.
4. To establish links outside of school, to local community art resources, such as art museums, galleries and artists.
5. To explore learning trips, either live or virtual, to institutions of learning (museums, galleries, art classes), to enrich student experience and expand students’ scope of community resources.
6. Fundraising to support the purchase of more materials.

FRANKLIN ART ASSOCIATION ART SHOW AND SALE!

In conjunction with Franklin's fabulous annual Harvest Festival (October 1), we will be having an Art Show and Sale, featuring beautiful works by our members. It will take place at the Rockland Trust Annex, right in the center of downtown Franklin. So while you're strolling around visiting the exhibitor booths, take some time to stop in and enjoy our work.

Last Week in Art Club:
We handed out the ART BOXES, filled with a ruler, glue stick, watercolors, markers, colored pencils and crayons. More supplies to come! Our first project now is to decorate the Art Box, and make it unique! Join us next Tuesday-we have a few left!
