Wrapped up the Cascade Jr. High Fishing Club school year with our annual trip to Rhoades Pond. We helped to clip over 100,000 hatchery salmon that will be released at a later date. Always enjoy doing this event and meeting the people involved with the Nestucca Angler’s Association. Same time next year.

First fishing club meeting for the school year will be tomorrow after school from 3:15-4:45pm. Introductory info, licensing requirements and talking about the club and it's activities. Remember there is not a bus so parents need to pick kids up at 4:45pm at the main entrance.

Had a fun 2 days at the Detroit Lake Derby. Fish were caught, thumbs got hooked, fires built, good food to eat and memories made. I even got to help someone sell their home while waiting for the derby awards.
