And we’re back! 🎉 This morning TUSD held its annual Opening Day Kick-Off at Pitman High School! Staff heard inspirational messages from Superintendent David Lattig, Board President Anthony Silva, and Stanislaus County Teacher of the Year Tami Compton. They also were treated to a special “Thanks to You” video from Project Water Media. Check it out!

Today Turlock High School kicked off their annual Becoming a Bulldog event for incoming freshmen. Principal Sharile Abbasi shared:

“Today we hosted our annual Becoming a Bulldog Roundup and had an amazing turnout. Our Link Crew seniors graciously welcomed our incoming ninth graders to campus, showing them the ropes and leading activities in Bulldog Arena to help everyone feel comfortable and at home. A special thank you to Mrs. Cullum for her leadership with Link Crew and for orchestrating this event. Tomorrow, we are excited to continue the momentum with Round-Up for our sophomores and juniors. We are looking forward to a great year and cannot wait to see our students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally as they pursue their goals at Turlock High.”

Today Pitman High School kicked off their annual Passage to Pride for 537 incoming freshmen. Principal Janine Arakelian shared:

“Passage to Pride is one of my favorite days of the year because it is not just an orientation; it’s the beginning of every student’s journey as part of our Pride family. Today, our incoming freshmen had the opportunity to meet new classmates, connect with staff and student leaders, explore campus, and start building the confidence they’ll carry into their first day of high school. At Pitman, we believe every student deserves to feel welcomed, supported, and ready to succeed. We can’t wait to see the Class of 2030 leave their mark on our campus! Never Settle, Never Quit… Roll Pride!”
