THIS THURSDAY, at 3pm ET, NIEER and the National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE) are partnering to host a webinar highlighting key findings from NIEER’s 2025 State of Preschool Yearbook, with insights from NASBE’s ECE State Network. NIEER's Allison Friedman-Krauss and Steve Barnett will be joined by state leaders Kim Pattillo Brownson (California State Board of Education), Nick Greer (Maryland State Board of Education), and Jill Dent, Ph.D. (Mississippi Department of Education).

Together, they will discuss state trends and progress in expanding access to high-quality preschool, strengthening systems, and advancing mixed-delivery approaches, as well as key priorities for the future.

It’s not about “perfect parenting”… it’s about understanding what regulation really looks like from the inside out, and why connection is the starting point.
