Students in 8th and 9th grade take the PreACT each spring as part of our commitment to academic excellence and college preparation. The PreACT provides a valuable predictor of how students may perform on the ACT and helps us identify areas of academic strength and opportunities for growth.

By analyzing these results, we can better understand how effectively we are preparing our students and use the data to guide instruction. This allows our teachers and school to make informed decisions and provide students with the support they need to continue growing and preparing for their future.
The following students were named ACT Rising Stars for their performance on the Pre ACT last spring.

💙Faith in Action at Tunica Academy💙

On Wednesdays, our lower school gathers around the flagpole to sing praise and worship music together. We say the pledge and then close with The Lord’s Prayer.

For an extra special treat today, the 2nd graders sang “Gratitude” by Brandon Lake. They knocked it out of the park- they sang it loud and with joyful hearts. There were many tears amongst the adults in the room. Coach Howell even invited them to come sing for the high school students at FCA breakfast next month! That brought many smiles to their faces!

Our high school students weren’t left out today! We were blessed to welcome Steve Maxwell all the way from Oklahoma City to share the Gospel through music. 🎶✝️

Steve reminded our students of Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 11:1: “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.”

We are all following something. We all allow people, passions, and priorities to influence the direction of our lives. Whether it’s sports, our phones, friendships, or God’s Word, what we give our time, attention, and devotion to shapes us.

So, who—or what—is forming you? Who—or what—is shaping your life?

The people and things we allow into our lives should never compete with our Heavenly Father. Paul encourages us to imitate Christ and to follow those who are faithfully following Him. When we do, our lives begin to look more like Jesus.

Who are you following? What is shaping you? And most importantly, is it leading you closer to Christ? 💙✝️

Thinking Like Historians in 5th Grade!

We are learning about the historical inquiry process and how historians analyze sources to better understand the past.

Up today: a letter from George Washington to John Hancock!

Students worked together to annotate, analyze, and summarize the letter, identifying important evidence and discussing what the source can teach us.

We aren’t just reading about history—we’re learning how to investigate it!
