Wondering about School Supplies?

Tumwater High School does not provide a school-wide supply list. In general, most high school students find it helpful to have a few basic school supplies on hand before the school year starts, including:

Backpack
College-ruled notebook paper
Pens and pencils
Spiral notebooks
A binder or organizational file system
Calculator (basic or scientific, depending on courses)
Colored pencils
After classes begin, teachers will let students know if additional supplies or course-specific materials are needed. Some classes may also have associated course fees, which will be communicated by the teacher.

If you have questions about supplies or would like additional information, please contact the main office at 360-709-7600.

Need assistance?
Our Counseling Office gratefully accepts donations of new school supplies throughout the year to help students who may need them. If your family needs assistance obtaining school supplies, please don't hesitate to reach out—we're here to help.

Welcome, New T-Birds!

Please join us for New Student Orientation on Tuesday, September 1st, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (the day before the first day of school).

Please note: This is a student-only event led by our current student leaders to help you get comfortable with the campus before everyone else arrives.

Here is what you can look forward to:

Grab Your Schedule: Find out exactly where you need to go.
Meet the Teachers: Connect with your 9th-grade Homeroom teachers.
Explore the Campus: Take a guided tour so you don't get lost on day one.
Connect & Have Fun: Join in on community activities and pick up some T-Bird swag!
Hear from Leaders: Get tips, tricks, and positive advice from current student leaders and administrators.
Free Pizza: Stick around for a pizza lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
This is a great opportunity to get acclimated with Tumwater High School and reduce some of the cray-cray that happens on the first day of school!

This week, our transportation employees are taking part in their annual training—refreshing skills, reviewing safety procedures, and making sure they’re ready to welcome students back on the buses in September.

Job Title: Skate Attendant

Job Type: Part-Time
About Us:
Skateland is Olympia’s premier destination for family fun, roller skating, and community events. We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and outgoing Skate Attendant to join our team and help create a safe, memorable, and fun experience for our guests!
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Assistance: Assist guests with selecting, fitting, maintaining, and tying on rental skates.

Facility Upkeep: Maintain a clean and organized rink environment, including sweeping the skate floor, managing trash, and keeping rental counters tidy.

Qualifications:
Minimum 16 years of age (or appropriate working age for a Washington state minor permit).
A positive, friendly attitude and a love for working with children and families.
Comfortable on roller skates (preferred, but on-the-job training is provided for the right candidate).
Must be available to work weekends (Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays) and holiday school breaks.
