And there have been a TON of ’em… Texas. New York. Hawaii. All the styles, all the places, all the things, all the rooms…

Before Miss Hannah was a studio owner, or even the teacher, she was the student in it.
Duh, right?

But it’s easy to forget! Behind every great leader are the teachers, mentors and coaches who taught them first. The ones who challenged them, believed in them, picked them back up and helped shape who they would become.

Dancers, your teachers know what it feels like, To try. To fall. To fail. To be corrected. To not get the part. To get the part. To keep showing up anyway.

That’s a big part of why we believe so fiercely in what happens inside these rooms. A dance class can be just a dance class, but a great teacher, at the right moment, can help a child (or adult!) discover just how much they’re capable of.

Every room matters. Every teacher leaves something behind. And you never quite know where all those little moments are leading you.

We absolutely cannot wait to welcome you into the new rooms we’re building for you now. ❤️ Who knows where your dancer will go from here 🚀🌠

Bye bye, Studio C 👋🥲

The mirrors came down today, which is making this whole moving thing feel VERY real.

Also… our new studios are 1, 2, 3 & 4 instead of A, B & C…So please allow approximately 6–8 business months for the SSD team to stop confidently sending you to “Studio C…I mean 3!” 😂😜

Our big move begins NOW! 🚧 SSD 2.0, here we come!

Most important: Today was our last day of summer dance, SSD is closed for break. Fall classes are now scheduled to begin SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13! 🤞🎉

We’ve got a whole lot of renovating, painting, packing, moving, unpacking + general craziness ahead of us over the next few weeks…and then we get to welcome all of you HOME. 💖

While we do that, you get excited, enjoy a little more summer adventure before the school year starts, and get ready for SSD SEASON 13! 🥳

Keep an eye on your email, texts + socials! There are a LOT of moving pieces, people + timelines involved, and we’ll keep you posted every step of the way as we know more.

This is really what makes SSD so special ❤️

Kids dancing. Parents hanging out. Friends running around together. Hot dogs, bubbles, foam, lots and LOTS of laughter 😂 and a whole bunch of people choosing to spend their Saturday together.

We’re all a lot more alike than we are different, and there’s something really special about getting to close out the summer ALL together, dancers, siblings, parents, grandparents, friends, everybody all in one place.

If you’re brand new to SSD, give it some time and you’ll notice it happen: every event, you recognize a few more faces. Learn a few more names. Meet another family. Meet a teacher you haven’t met yet. And little by little, you realize you’re part of a community that is full of kind, hilarious, encouraging people, who really know how to show up for each other. ❤️

The dancing is the vehicle for all this magic, but these moments, these connections, these people are what makes SSD so special 🥹🥳🤩

Thanks for showing up, jumping in, meeting somebody new, cheering for somebody else’s kid and being part of the fun. 💖
