The program includes more than 50 hours of professional development for the teachers, as well as the summer camp for 30 students.
It is funded by Flight Night, which focuses on inspiring students to pursue careers in fields of science, technology, engineering and math — collectively known as STEM. The professional development portion of the program was led by instructors from Creatrex Education, a national organization of professional engineering educators who support STEM.
