We were excited and grateful to have our Crossover Drumline be a small, but LOUD, part of the Northside Neighbors Tulsa People & Place Impact Conference today! 🙌🏿

It was an honor to be a small part of this inspiring gathering of people who are working, dreaming, and investing in the future of North Tulsa. Our students brought the rhythm, the energy, and a whole lot of Crossover Pride! 🥁🦁

Yesterday, our students got to do what every student dreams of: DUNK THE STAFF! 😂

After a student vote, High School Principal Mr. Donohue and Math Teacher Mr. Smith were selected as the targets, and both bravely complied with the voting results. And let’s just say… they came prepared.

Mr. Donohue showed up armed with verbal comebacks, ready to defend himself one joke at a time. Mr. Smith? He let the signs do the talking. 😂📋

Unfortunately for both of them, neither strategy came with a waterproofing plan.

The students brought the votes. The staff brought the attitude. And the dunk tank brought the consequences.

Sorry, gentlemen. You never stood a chance. 😂☛

What an amazing turnout yesterday! 🙌🏿 Thank you to every parent and student who came out for parent/teacher conferences, and to our incredible teachers who opened their classrooms for a "Day in the Life" sneak peek, giving families a real look at what their kids experience every day. Parents, you’re invited! ☛ Our FIRST PEP RALLY OF THE YEAR is next Thursday at 3:30 PM, and we’re bringing the energy!

📣 Come pack the gym, show your Lion Pride, and cheer on our athletes as we kick off an action-packed weekend. You’ll get to see performances from our Cheer Squad and Drumline!

📚 Parents, mark your calendars!

Our first Parent/Teacher Conferences of the year are happening tomorrow, Monday, August 31st, and we’re doing things a little differently!

This year’s theme is “A Day in the Life”, giving parents a chance to experience a shortened version of their student’s actual school day. You’ll move from class to class, following their schedule and getting a glimpse into what their day at Crossover looks like.

🕟 Doors Open: 4:30 PM
👋🏿 Welcome & Convocation: 5:00 PM

From there, you’ll rotate through your student’s classes as teachers introduce themselves, explain their courses, and share important information about the year ahead.

🎓 Dual-Enrolled Families: You’ll also have a special session with our College & Career Director focused on helping students succeed at ORU and Tulsa Tech. You’ll hear from students who have already taken this path and begin thinking about the possibilities waiting beyond high school!

👨🏿‍🏫 All Families: At the end of the evening, parents will have the opportunity to sign up for a brief individual conference with a teacher if needed.

We’re excited to open the doors, invite you into your student’s world, and give you a “Day in the Life” of a Crossover Lion! 🦁

Reminder: Parent/Teacher Conferences — Monday, 8/31

We're excited for this first round of conferences! Please join us to get a view of what your student experiences every day. It's "A Day in the Life" themed — you'll follow a shortened version of your student's schedule for the evening, visiting their classes just as they would.

Details:
Doors open: 4:30 PM
Program begins: 5:00 PM with a brief welcome/convocation for all parents

You'll rotate through your student's classes, where teachers will introduce themselves and share key information about their class.

Dual Enrolled Families: You'll have a special session with our College and Career Director, covering specific ways to succeed at ORU and Tulsa Tech. You'll also hear from students who've already walked this path — and get a chance to start dreaming about life after high school!

All Families: At the end of the evening, you'll have the opportunity to sign up for a short individual conference with a teacher if needed.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Today marks the 10th school day of Crossover Prep’s 10th school year, so naturally, the CPA OGs had to make it official. 🔟

At exactly 10:10 AM, our four first-year staff members gathered in the Community Center at 1010 E. 36th St. N. for a commemorative photo.

Mrs. Long, Coach Philip, Dr. Lepine, and Mr. Taylor have been holding it down at CPA since Year One. Over the past decade, each has worn plenty of hats, taken on countless challenges, and helped shape the school we are today.

Today, they serve as Assistant Principal, Executive Director, Middle School Principal, and Dean of the Men’s Division, but no matter the title, they’re still CPA OGs. 🦁

Here’s to 10 years of Crossover Prep, the people who have helped build it, and the many more years still ahead. Still building. Still believing. Still Crossover. ❤️🖤

A New Chapter Begins. 🌅

Early this morning, our young men gathered to watch the sunrise and reflect on the years behind them and the year ahead.

Next year, Crossover Prep will graduate both young men and young women, making this class a meaningful part of a unique chapter in our school’s story.

This talented group of students has grown together, challenged one another, celebrated wins, learned from setbacks, and helped shape the culture of Crossover Prep along the way.

As they begin their final year, we’re excited to see what’s ahead. There is still so much to accomplish, so much to learn, and so much potential waiting to be realized.

Class of 2027, this is your year. Make it count. 🦁
