Tulsa native stars as Glinda in Minnesota production of 'The Wizard of Oz' Holland Hall graduate Becca Claire Hart is bringing a little bit of Tulsa with her as she performs as Glinda in a major production of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ in one of the country’s top theater markets.

Congratulations to Holland Hall senior Megan Kalapura, now a three-time state golf champion after winning the 4A tournament on Tuesday at Dornick Hills in Ardmore.

As a team, the Dutch placed third. Great job.

It’s one of Holland Hall’s oldest traditions: the Sakawa Wanata track meet. This year, the event turned 100 as middle school students, 4th through 6th grade, competed in track & field events on the Holland Hall campus.

It is a long-standing school spirit tradition designed to promote camaraderie.

When it started, Holland Hall was still an all-girls school and athletes competed in archery, baseball, basketball, tennis and track.

"Honestly, it’s just beautiful to me. This tradition has outlasted world wars, a pandemic, campus moves, and a hundred years of change — and it’s still here. I think it survives because it means something real: hard work, camaraderie, and this incredible thing where we split into two teams and somehow come back even more united. That’s special.
