We love partnering with the Gathering Place to host Talking is Teaching in such a beautiful setting! 💚 It’s a wonderful opportunity to remind families that every moment is a learning moment. Parents can support their child’s development through simple interactions they’re already doing every day—talking, reading, and singing together. 📚🎶💬

Every Thursday morning in September, Gathering Place is partnering with Early Learning Works by Tulsa Educare to host Little Volcanoes: Talking is Teaching, an engaging educational series designed for families with children ages 0–3.

Caregivers can enjoy fun, interactive activities that support early language, motor and emotional development in a welcoming environment designed for learning, connection and quality time together in nature.

Each week features a new educational theme, giving caregivers new ways to support their child’s development through play and conversation.

Little Volcanoes offers two sessions each Thursday:

🕙 10:15 a.m. — Spanish

Tulsa Educare is proud to partner with Birthright Living Legacy to offer Fatherhood Engagement Groups—a welcoming space to connect, grow, and build community.

These groups will provide opportunities for learning, reflection, encouragement, and growth. Together, fathers and father figures can strengthen parenting skills, build confidence, support emotional healing, and connect with others.

Talking is Teaching 💬✨
We had a wonderful time connecting with families at our recent Talking is Teaching event! Families explored the topic “Encourage and Direct Your Child’s Curiosity.” Children are natural explorers, and parents learned simple ways to encourage their children’s curiosity through everyday interactions, play, and learning opportunities.

📖 We read Pete the Cat’s Trip to the Supermarket and Que Serás?
🍽️ We enjoyed a meal together.
🧘 Families practiced calming techniques they can use at home.
🎶 We sang songs and talked about how singing supports children’s brain development and early learning.
🧸 Each family received an age-appropriate toy and book to take home.

It was a wonderful evening filled with reading, singing, playing, connecting, and learning together! Thank you to all the families who joined us! Remember, every conversation, song, story, and moment of play is an opportunity to support your child’s development. ❤️

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dolly Parton and profoundly grateful for the extraordinary gift she gave to children and families around the world. Through her lifelong passion for reading, Dolly helped place books in the hands of millions of young children and inspired countless families to share the joy, comfort, and magic of reading together.

Tulsa Educare is especially thankful to partner with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and Tulsa City-County Library to nurture a love of books and storytelling in our classrooms and beyond. Each book read, story shared, and song sung with a child helps build a foundation for a lifetime of learning.

Thank you, Dolly, for believing in the power of books, the potential of every child, and the importance of giving young readers a beautiful beginning. Your generosity, imagination, and love will continue to inspire children for generations to come. ❤️📚✨

Global icon and humanitarian, Dolly Parton, known to the world as a beloved singer, songwriter, philanthropist, actress, playwright, and author died peacefully today in Nashville, Tennessee. She was 80 years old.

Dolly is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years Carl Thomas Dean (1942 – 2025), her mother Avie Lee Caroline Owens (1923 – 2003), and father, Robert Lee Parton, Sr. (1921 – 2000).

A rhinestone life that shone bright enough for the world to see, Dolly will forever stand as an inspiration not only through her timeless music and prolific songwriting, but also her wit, warmth, and kindness that made us all feel like family. Dolly Parton’s legacy is one of love, compassion, and resilience. With a seven-decade career, she inspired multiple generations of artists and fans with her music and an unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Her songs will continue to resonate with people of all ages, and her philanthropic work will have a lasting impact.

At Dolly’s request, a small, private service will be held for immediate family. Dolly’s fans and friends from around the world are encouraged to pay tribute to Dolly on social media by tagging or by leaving a message at www.dollyparton.com

Since opening its doors in 2012, Tulsa Educare MacArthur has been a place where children have taken first steps, spoken first words, explored bravely, imagined brilliantly, and grown in curiosity and confidence. 🌱

Through it all, we’ve been honored to learn and grow alongside the incredible families, educators, staff, and community partners who make this work possible.

The beautiful mosaic wall at Tulsa Educare MacArthur is a perfect reminder: every person who has been part of this school’s story has added something meaningful to the bigger picture. 🧩✨
