Today, Madalyn Beavers had the honor of ringing the Success Bell for an incredible accomplishment. Joining Madalyn at the bell is Mrs. Melissa Jones, MHS Art Teacher and the AP Art Class.

Madalyn entered her original bookmark design in the 2026 Oklahoma Alliance for Arts Education (OAAE) Bookmark Contest and was selected as the Secondary Division winner!

Her beautiful design has now been professionally printed and distributed to schools and libraries across Oklahoma, a wonderful opportunity to see her creativity shared throughout our state.
We are so proud of Madalyn and this outstanding achievement!

What an incredible week in Tulsa!

We are so proud of Jaxon, Pazlye, Blake and Brynli for representing McAlester at the Discovery Awards. Throughout the week, they participated in intensive masterclasses, worked alongside talented students from across the region, and learned from award-winning theatre professionals before taking the stage at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center tonight.

Opportunities like the Discovery Awards help young performers grow as artists, leaders, and teammates, and we couldn't be more excited about what the future holds for each of them.
