Grandparents’ Lunch Invitation 💕🍎

We would love to invite you to come and enjoy lunch with your grandchild on Friday, September 11, 2026!

Grandparents are welcome to bring their lunch and join their grandchild during their normal lunch time. You are also welcome to simply come and sit with your grandchild during lunch—your presence will make their day extra special!

Important Information:
Please sign in at the front office when you arrive.

After signing in, please go directly to the cafeteria.

At the end of lunch, please sign out through the front office.

Please plan to attend during your grandchild’s normal lunch time. We are so grateful for the love, support, and special memories our grandparents bring to our school community. We love and thank our grandparents for all that you do! ❤️ We look forward to celebrating this special time together!

For the month of September, we are focusing on the character trait of RESPONSIBILITY! 🙌

Mrs. Hayes will be visiting each classroom throughout the month with fun activities, helpful tips, and meaningful conversations about how our students can show responsibility and continue to grow in this important character trait.

Parents, we encourage you to keep the conversation going at home! 🏡 Ask your child about responsibility around the dinner table and talk about ways they can practice being responsible at school, at home, and in their community.

Together, we can help our students grow into responsible, respectful, and caring individuals! 🌟

ATTENDANCE AWARENESS MONTH GIVEAWAY
Show up for your chance to win! During the month of September, students with 95% attendance or higher at select school sites* will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a Mega Ride Pass to the Tulsa State Fair!

STRIVE FOR 95%
School is better when you’re here, so strive for 95%!
We are encouraging all students to Strive for 95% by maintaining an Average Daily Attendance (ADA) rate of 95% or higher throughout the school year. Average Daily Attendance (ADA) shows how often a student comes to school compared to the total number of school days.
WHAT DOES 95% ADA LOOK LIKE?
Having 95% attendance means coming to school almost every school day. For the 2026–27 school year, students should aim to miss no more than eight school days each semester to stay at 95% or higher.
HOW CAN YOU STRIVE FOR 95?
• Schedule doctor and dentist appointments before or after school when possible.
• Plan any vacations and trips during school breaks, holidays, and days off.
• If your student is absent, contact the school and explain the absence within 48 hours of their return.
• Ask for help early. Your school can connect your family with support for transportation, illness, housing concerns, mental health, and other challenges that may affect attendance.
