There are certain things in life we just *feel,* long before we know how to put those feelings into words. 🩵🎶

A few examples may instinctively come to mind: Happiness. Comfort. Wonder. Belonging. Love.

And somehow, music has this unique, remarkable way of reaching places language alone sometimes can’t. Of allowing us to identify with, and express pieces of the human experience that aren’t easy to name or explain.

When we see even our littlest music makers responding authentically to a song, connecting with their grown-ups, and discovering the world through the music they’re engaging with, we’re reminded that this beautiful, deeply human experience begins so much earlier than we sometimes realize.

It’s one of the many, MANY reasons we feel so incredibly lucky to share the gift of music with little ones every single day.🥹💚

We CANNOT get over this precious moment between Ms. Tami & her grandbaby! 🥹🩵🎶

This is such a beautiful reminder of the impact music can have on us and our little ones, even well after class has ended.

We ALWAYS encourage our families to keep making music together at home. In fact, this is a huge reason why we start each class with a few activities that can easily be replicated anytime, anywhere. No special learning tools, props, or instruments required!

Don’t get us wrong: the tools we use in class are INCREDIBLY beneficial to the work we do, and greatly enhance our ability to nurture growing minds through music. 🧠🌱🎵

But we also want to provide all our families with tangible ways to build on that foundation at home!

The truth is, when all is said and done, the greatest, and most important resource your little one has is YOU. 🥰

They’re ALWAYS looking to you!

And, when you think about it, you already have so much to work with: Your voice, your body, your favorite songs, and a willingness to sing along and clap/move to the beat together.

That’s all you need to get started!

These kinds of moments, small as they may seem, can have SUCH a huge impact on your little music maker. Engaging with them in this way helps build key developmental skills while also creating beautiful opportunities to connect, bond, and grow closer.

We promise, you don’t need to be a musician or have perfect pitch to make music together at home! It can be as simple as a familiar melody, a steady beat, and an open mind. 😊🧡
