From the fun Survivor themed Teacher Appreciation Week and activities to our delicious last day lunch, every detail was so thoughtful and special! Happy National Speech-Language Pathologist Day!! From supporting speech and language development, to helping with social communication, to empowering students to express themselves, SLPs play a vital role in helping children succeed both in and out of the classroom. Thank you, Ms. Annett, Ms. Clark, Ms. Fairfield, and Ms. Schulz, for your expertise, patience, and dedication. You make such a powerful difference in the lives of our students and families! 💚

Fueled by creativity (and peppermints!), our students designed and built their own peppermint race cars using straws, popsicle sticks, index cards, and lots of teamwork! Each 3rd grade class held its own races, and the top 3 racers advanced to our championship round to compete for the ultimate title. Such a fun way to wrap up the year with creativity, problem-solving, and a little friendly competition! 🏁🍬

It was so sweet to welcome these seniors back to NWE and see them walk the halls one more time before graduation. Celebrating our very first graduating class and walking down memory lane together was truly a core memory!

We are so proud of each of these students and all they have accomplished. Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration so memorable. Once a Northwest student, always part of the Northwest family. ❤️

🌎✨ Mrs. Watson’s class recently had two very special guests visit for Culture Day! Mr. and Mrs. Salan came to share about their home countries of Costa Rica and Guatemala. Students loved learning about the cultures, traditions, and experiences that make each country so unique. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Salan, for sharing your time and stories with our students!🇨🇷🇬🇹💛

Wednesday’s Survivor Challenge brought the pressure. Staff members raced to complete our Survivor Ball Pyramid Puzzle, and the competition was intense from start to finish.

Congratulations to Laura Banuelos, who claimed today’s win with an incredible time of just 3 seconds! She earned today’s $50 gift card prize along with 2 points toward the overall Survivor standings.

Today’s staff “Survivor Sanctuary” also featured a morning bagel schmear station followed by a full salad bar lunch for staff to enjoy throughout the day.

The top 10 fastest times also earned 2 points today, and all participants received participation points for playing along.
