The Master Gardeners paid a visit to 3rd grade this week with their lesson on "Pollinators". We found out that some plants need a pollinator and others self-pollinate. Insects aren't the only creatures that pollinate. Did you know that there are some rodents that pollinate? We didn't either! We also learned that flowers that bloom at night are pollinated by moths!🌼🦋

And just like that, our first day is in the books, and we couldn’t be more excited for another amazing year at Northwest! This year is extra special as we celebrate a Decade of Excellence! For 10 years, Northwest has been a place where students have made memories and called home, and we can’t wait to make this one to remember! ✏️📚

Meet the Teacher is TODAY!

We can’t wait to welcome our students and families back to campus! Meet the Teacher will be held today from 10:00–1:30 and 3:00–6:00, with teachers meeting with families during their scheduled appointment times.

While you’re here, be sure to make a stop in the gym to visit our various stations and get ready for the school year! You’ll also find extra school supply kits available for purchase in the gym on a first come, first serve basis. Kits are sold as complete packages, and supplies are limited, so grab one while they last! 📚✏️

A few friendly reminders:
📚 Students are welcome to bring their school supplies with them!
⚕️ If your child needs medication at school, please bring it to the Nurse’s Office.

We are SO excited to see everyone, meet our new students, and kick off an amazing school year! ✨
