Hello! My name is Jasmine Newton, and I am excited to return to Tulsa Public Schools as an Assistant Principal at Memorial High School. I am honored to be returning to the district where much of my educational career has been spent.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in School Counseling, and a Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership. I also plan to continue my pursuit of a Doctor of Education in Educational Administration, Curriculum, and Supervision.

Throughout my career, I have served as a paraprofessional, special education teacher, school counselor, college and career advisor, and District Secondary Counselor Coach. I am especially honored to return to Memorial High School, where I previously served as both a teacher and counselor for three years.

As a proud Charger, I look forward to partnering with students, families, educators, and community stakeholders to support student success, foster a positive school culture, and continue the tradition of excellence at Memorial High School.

We love spending time with our future Chargers πŸ₯°
Once a month our Sports Media and Student Council students went to Key Elementary and spent some time with the Kindergarten classes. They have assisted with making kites, sensory bottles, gingerbread people as well as just spend time, read and play with the Kindergarteners. They all will cherish these relationships and memories!

Congratulations to our senior, Joy! Joy was awarded the Superintendent's Scholarship last night, a scholarship given to one student from each Tulsa Public Schools high school. In Joy's application, she highlighted Mr. Nathan Snuffer as her favorite teacher, saying that he has encouraged her to become more confident in her time at Memorial, both on and off the field. Congratulations to both Joy and Coach Snuffer, who each play a part in making Charger Nation so special!

Class of 2026! Due to the unpredictable weather forecast, Senior Sunset scheduled for Thursday, May 21st, has been canceled. We are so sad to lose this final senior event, but we want to make sure everyone stays dry and safe.

Students may pick up their senior signs following graduation practice on Friday, May 22nd. Thank you for understanding, and we can’t wait to celebrate the Class of 2026 at graduation on Saturday!

This week, we had the privilege of honoring someone truly special... Mr. Limes, better known to his students as Coach Limes! πŸŽ‰

During Teacher Appreciation Week, Coach Limes stood out in a big way: he was the most mentioned teacher by seniors applying for the Charger Pride Scholarship Foundation scholarship. That kind of recognition, coming directly from students, speaks volumes about Coach Limes' work at Memorial.

The Foundation had the honor of surprising Coach Limes at a meeting this week to celebrate his dedication and the lasting impact he's made on so many students at Memorial.
