Will Rogers Library

Our library was honored to host The Outsiders Musical producers on Thursday, October 9th. Our drama students posed insightful questions, & the experience was amazing on our end. I am proud of the students & their contributions to a dynamic conversation. We hope the producers got an equally positive experience working with our students. The students were able to see the musical live, the following day at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center thanks to the Will Rogers High School Community Foundation. It’s a great time to be a Roper! This loss is so very hard. The family has asked us to wear white to honor him at the services next week. This young man is a beautiful soul. One of the kindest and most genuine students I’ve ever had the privilege to know. He was always respectful, kind, and to adults, sometimes a bit quiet & shy. His smile was the best! He was such a good friend, one of those true examples of, “who you surround yourself with shows who you are” I can’t remember anyone thinking anything but positive things about him. I recommended him unabashedly to friends & family as he was growing his career & those who used him called & told me how impressed they were!!! He was also the biggest supporter & cheerleader to his girlfriend/fiance Denise (another one of the best of Rogers students) I feel so privileged to have known him & spent so many lunch times & 6th hours with him & his beautiful smile & soul! 💓 along with the services announcement, I’m including the last picture I personally took of him in April of 2023. 💙 much love. Kids are enjoying Ms.Carroll’s February Puzzle maker space. They’ve successfully completed two & are excited about a new one next week!

Mr. Murphys government classes worked with Ms. Brucks Tuesday & Wednesday to learn about media bias and how to ensure you are reading from different perspectives when reading the news.

Our students finished the first November maker space puzzle this morning before 9am & by 11am ~ they’d taken it apart to start over again 😱
