Listening to scriptures and doing art Sometimes I wonder what is in my head. I did the second picture a few years ago and it looks more organized. I can take a hint.

I am finally done with this primitive painting. Listen, it looked easy but that sheep gave me fits. I’ve had it with two left feet, two right feet, butt too long, butt too short. At one time I think even the head was backwards. And I still dont have it right!All this to say, learn the process and it will turn out. Let Ella, art teacher extraordinaire, show you how. I learned a few things while painting this. I thought I knew it all!

We filled up our Tuesday color pencil class faster than you can say "color me happy" so we opened up another on Tuesdays at 3:30 and it’s being taught by the incredibly talented Ms Ella Frame! This is a great non messy art media that actually lowers stress. Would you like to join us?

I went on a bird kick in color pencil. What a fun challenge to make art realistic. Classes available on Mondays 3-5 for ages 8-16 and Tuesdays from 1-3 for adults.

My maiden name is Palmon, which translates to big Palm Little did I know that the big palm symbolizes strength and resilience, both attributes we’ve had to apply in our lives. My dad used a palm as his business logo. I fondly recall my dad teaching me how to draw palms when I was a child. The black and white picture is a heartfelt reminder of the special bond we shared, as it's a palm we drew together when I was around 6 years old, and I was fortunate enough to bring it with me when we left our country. The color picture is one I painted today. This one is for you Papi.
