KIPP Tulsa

KIPP Tulsa KIPP Tulsa is a free, public, open-enrollment, college-preparatory, charter middle and high school.

Together with families and communities, we prepare students with the skills and confidence to pursue the paths they choose —college, career, and beyond. Every day, KIPP students across the nation are proving that demography does not define destiny. Over 85 percent of our students are from low-income families and eligible for the federal free or reduced-price meals program, and 95 percent are African American or Latino. Nationally, more than 95 percent of KIPP middle school students have graduated high school, and more than 85 percent of KIPP alumni have gone on to college.

We're excited to share that KIPP Tulsa is now one of the participating charter schools in Green Country Habitat for Humanity’s Education Begins With Home program!

This expansion creates an incredible opportunity for eligible KIPP Tulsa classroom teachers to take meaningful steps toward homeownership and building long-term wealth and stability.

Qualified educators may be eligible for:

🏠 Up to $50,000 in forgivable down-payment assistance
🔑 Access to a below-market, 30-year fixed-rate mortgage
💰 Financial counseling and homebuyer education
📈 An opportunity to build equity and establish deeper roots in the Tulsa community

The program is open to eligible traditionally certified, alternatively certified, emergency-certified, and non-certified classroom teachers. The down-payment assistance is forgiven after five years of successful mortgage payments, subject to program requirements.

This is about more than buying a house. Supporting educators also means creating opportunities for them to build stability, establish roots, and invest in the communities where they serve.

We're grateful to Green Country Habitat for Humanity and the Maxine & Jack Zarrow Family Foundation for expanding this opportunity to our KIPP Tulsa Team and Family.

KIPP Tulsa teachers, we strongly encourage you to learn more and see if this opportunity could be right for you! 🧡💙

Green Country Habitat for Humanity announced Tuesday that its Education Begins With Home program is expanding beyond Tulsa Public Schools to include Union Public Schools and seven Tulsa-area charter schools.

The program launched in 2025 in partnership with Tulsa Public Schools, helping 14 teachers become homeowners in its first year. With new funding, organizers say they can help roughly 50 more educators with down payment and closing cost assistance.

See who qualifies, what requirements have changed and how teachers can apply.

Halfway through the week and the KIPPsters are still bringing the personality. 😂

Walking into class ready to learn, laugh, connect and most importantly, be themselves.

That’s what community looks like. That’s KIPP. 💙

There’s a lot to love about KIPP, but we wanted to hear it straight from the people who make the magic happen every day.

We asked Mr. Baker his favorite thing about working at KIPP. Here’s what he had to say. 💙
