Our Lower Elementary students have kicked off the year by establishing their classroom community and diving headfirst into learning. They’ve already heard some of the iconic Montessori Great Lessons, sparking their curiosity about the origins of the universe and human history, and are applying that inspiration directly to their daily work.

At UMS, academic growth goes hand in hand with social connection.
Friendship isn't just something that happens during recess; it is intentionally woven into our daily environment. Through multi age classrooms, collaborative projects, and shared responsibilities, our students learn how to navigate relationships with empathy, respect, and open communication.
By practicing grace and courtesy, resolving conflicts together, and celebrating each other's individual journeys, our students build a tight knit community where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported. When children feel a true sense of belonging, they gain the confidence to explore, create, and thrive.

The world came to Lower Elementary Summer Camp these past two weeks as students joined in the excitement of the World Cup! ⚽🌎

Through the beautiful game of soccer, campers practiced skills and drills, learned about teams from around the world, and explored the countries they represent. Along the way, they connected their learning with continent and flag studies, and even enjoyed hands-on science experiments that brought their discoveries to life.

It has been a wonderful blend of movement, curiosity, and global exploration!
