PLEASE NOTE: Our football scrimmage scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, at Oilton has been CANCELED. There will be no scrimmage on August 25.

Allen Bowden Wildcats Football Update 🏈

Practice will be held every school day from 3:15–5:00 PM.

If you’re planning to play football and have not turned in a current sports physical, please get it completed ASAP. Players without a physical on file will not be able to practice after school until it is turned in.

New drop off and pick up location for the admin building. This was previously located in front of the administration building and has moved to in front of the 4th/5th grade building - See video below.
** The elementary parking lot drop off and pickup has not changed except the time which is 7:40 am drop off and 3:15 pm pickup.

Allen Bowden Athletics Update: IMPORTANT

As we get ready for the start of the school year, here are a few important dates for all student-athletes and families:

✅ Sports Physicals

SquareOne is currently offering sports physicals by appointment only. If your athlete still needs a physical, now is a great time to get it scheduled.

Klugh Chiropractic will also be providing sports physicals during Back to School Night on Tuesday, August 11, from 4:30–6:30 PM at Allen Bowden for $25.

🚨 All 2026 sports physicals must be completed and turned in to Coach Kindell by the first day of school, Thursday, August 13. Athletes will not be eligible to participate until a current physical is on file.

📅 Football Parent Meeting

All football parents are asked to attend our Football Parent Meeting on Tuesday, August 11, at 6:00 PM.

We’ll discuss the upcoming season, expectations, communication, schedules, and answer any questions you may have.

More information for other sports will be coming soon, so please stay tuned for additional updates.

🐾 Summer Pride 2026 | Built Different. 🐾

What an incredible summer!

Over the last several weeks, our student-athletes showed up, worked hard, encouraged one another, and got better every single day. Summer Pride wasn’t just about getting stronger. It was about building discipline, toughness, leadership, and a championship culture.

We’re proud of every athlete who chose to invest in themselves and in Allen Bowden Athletics. The work doesn’t stop here. This is just the beginning.

Thank you to our coaches, parents, and everyone who supported our athletes throughout the summer. Your encouragement made a difference.

Allen Bowden families,

I want to make you aware of an important change to our school day that will take effect beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.
*During the recent legislative session, Oklahoma lawmakers passed a law increasing the required daily recess time for elementary students (PreK – 5th) to 40 minutes per day. In previous years, schools were allowed to count recess as part of the instructional hours required for the school day. The Oklahoma State Department of Education is now interpreting this differently and has stated that recess should no longer be fully included in the calculation of required instructional hours.
*As a temporary compromise for the 2026-2027 school year, schools may count 20 minutes of recess toward those required hours. The additional 20 minutes will not count in our instructional hours, which has forced us to extend our school day. Therefore, to remain fully compliant without adding additional days to the calendar, beginning this school year, we will extend the school day by 20 minutes to meet the state’s instructional hour requirements.
**Classes will start at 7:55 a.m. and dismissal will be at 3:15 p.m.

*Morning Admin car line will still open at 7:30 am
*Morning Elementary car line will open at 7:40 am
*Breakfast is served from 7:30 - 7:55.
*Classes start at 7:55 am Please have your student at school, seated, and ready to learn by these times.

We understand that this adjustment may create challenges for some families, and we apologize for the short notice.
**This will affect bus schedules. The transportation department is working hard on changes and will post those schedules very soon.
**Even though 6-8 is not required for the 40 minutes of recess, we will still be providing them with recess also.

Please know this change is being made to comply with new state requirements. We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and continued support as we implement these changes.
