Street School is a non-profit alternative education and counseling program that transforms lives by building healthy minds, creating opportunities, and preparing students for the future. We create a supportive community for students in grades 9 through 12 who have chosen to work toward high school graduation in a non-traditional setting. Street School is a dropout prevention, intervention and recovery program accredited by Tulsa Public Schools and recognized nationally as a leader in working with at-risk youth. Students choose to attend Street School because they are committed to graduating from high school, to learning and practicing life skills, to resolving substance abuse problems, to dealing with behavioral issues, and to filling the void of support traditionally provided by family.

Learning looks a little different around here and we like it that way!

Our students took physics off the page with an Egg Drop Challenge, using critical thinking and creativity to design a way to keep their eggs intact after a serious drop. Hands-on learning + a little friendly competition = our kind of classroom.

We’re excited to welcome Tyler to the Street School family as our new Technology Instructor!

Tyler joins us from TRAICE Academy and is a longtime part of the Tulsa community. He’s bringing his experience, energy, and, apparently, an extremely impressive Pokémon résumé to Street School. 😂

A few fun facts about Tyler:
🏈 He loves being disappointed by Kyler Murray. (A true test of loyalty.)
🎮 He has probably played more Pokémon than all the kids you know combined.
💻 He’s ready to help our students level up their technology skills!

We have been spoiled left and right and it’s only the 3rd day of school! Patrons Bank stocked our student store, Busey Bank filled all our teacher supply requests, CompSource Mutual shopped our Amazon wishlists and CBIZ has our classroom snacks ready to go!

These donations go a LONG way for our students, staff and budget. We are so grateful for every community partner 💛
