10 toes down. 10 years strong. One final bow. 🖤🩰
At 21 years old, fresh out of college, I started VickyB’s with a dream and a genuine love for children and the arts. I had a vision and the determination to build something meaningful for brown ballerinas!
What began as a dream became so much more than a dance studio. VickyB’s became a family.
I have watched tiny dancers grow into amazing young women and men. Five of my dancers are now heading off to college, while some of the toddlers are now dancing through middle and high school.
Somehow, I also became the godmom to 17 of my dancers lol! I have made countless trips to schools, attended lunches, kindergarten graduations, high school graduations, prom send offs, birthdays, and so many important moments outside of the studio.
That is the part of this journey I will always treasure most. I didn’t just teach dances or prepare children for performances. I became part of their lives, and they became part of mine.
A decade later, my life looks completely different. I am now the mother of a beautiful daughter, on my journey to becoming an attorney, traveling, enjoying life, and stepping into a new season personally and professionally.
After 10 incredible years, I have decided to retire as a studio owner and officially close VickyB’s at the conclusion of our December 2026 season.
I am incredibly proud of what the 21 year old version of me created. VickyB’s gave children a place to discover their gifts, build confidence, develop friendships, perform, grow, and feel loved. The memories, relationships, and legacy we created will continue long after our final class.
Before we officially take our final bow, there is time for one final season.
If your child has ever wanted to experience VickyB’s, now is the time. If you have followed our journey, watched from the audience, considered enrolling, or continued saying, “Maybe next season,” this is your final opportunity.
Classes begin this coming week. Tuition is $375 for the entire August–December semester.
I want our final season to be filled with joy, familiar faces, new families, beautiful memories, and children experiencing the magic of VickyB’s one final time.
I am closing this chapter feeling proud, fulfilled, and excited about everything ahead.
