Huge Thanks! to Booker T. Washington High School for inviting me to their Hispanic Heritage Month Assembly. It was a pleasure to discuss the East LA Blowouts of '68, the late Sal Castro and growing up Pocho in the '90s. I left so proud of these students! Not sure I could've made it through one more folklorico demo... it was refreshing to see these kids represent the culture the creative way they did. Great Job!

RULES
• All entrants must be 18 or under
• All submissions must say “Woody Guthrie Folk Festival Children's Festival” and “2023”
• All entrants must submit an original drawing which must be inspired by the Woody Guthrie song “Way Over Yonder in the Minor Key”
• Artwork may be either hand drawn or digitally created. Digital artwork must be submitted in vector format. Entrants submitting hand-drawn artwork must submit a high-resolution photo of the artwork and retain the original for submission upon request.
• All entries are the property of the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival Children's Festival and are subject to modification.
