Real talk: even after 9 years in this industry and 15+ years in beauty, there are still months I question myself. Slow seasons. Growth that isn’t linear. Moments comparing my journey to someone else’s highlight reel.

I used to think I had to have it all figured out — fully profitable, no cracks showing — before I earned the right to teach anyone else.

Here’s what I know now: owning a medical spa and running this academy hasn’t been a straight line up. It’s had real ups and downs. And the thing that’s actually made me a better instructor isn’t that I never struggled — it’s that I never quit. I learned from every hard season, and now I get to hand you those lessons without you having to learn them the hard way.

That’s what you’re really enrolling in here. Not perfection. Experience.

If you’re building something of your own right now and it doesn’t feel like enough yet — keep going. That’s the lesson.

Real talk with myself: perfectionism 🎯

“The timing isn’t right.” “I need to learn one more thing first.”

I called it preparation. It was procrastination wearing business casual — looking responsible, looking smart, but still just… not starting.

Here’s the thing — I teach this to my students every single day. Consistency beats talent. Action beats perfect planning. The techs who grow fastest aren’t the ones waiting to feel ready — they’re the ones who show up messy until messy becomes mastery.

So today I’m taking my own advice. Post the idea. Launch the offer. Go before it’s polished.

To every student reading this: your instructor still fights this fight too. Perfectionism doesn’t disappear when you master the technique — you just get faster at catching yourself and starting anyway.

Imperfect and in motion beats perfect and still waiting. 💪
