🍫 Le Cacao Noir is coming to Tulsa, and we are proud to be part of it!

Some of you already know Dimitry Coulibaly from our Saturday French Café Conversations at NEFF.

He has created something truly special : Le Cacao Noir - A Curated Cocoa Experience, an intimate 90-minute journey through cocoa, culture, and connection.

Inspired by the cocoa heritage of Côte d'Ivoire and the art of French chocolate craftsmanship, each session includes :

🍫 Curated chocolate & cocoa tastings, featuring a French chocolate house founded in 1884
🥐 Fresh beignets and crêpes prepared on site
🧋 Signature iced cocoa drinks
🎶 Music, storytelling, and a warm cultural atmosphere

📍 Kitchen 66, Mother Road Market — 1124 S. Lewis Ave, Tulsa, OK
🕙 Sessions: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM

🎟️ Tickets available on Eventbrite — and as part of the Alliance Française de Tulsa community, enjoy 10% off with the code: ALLIANCE10

And even when all tickets are taken, come anyway! The venue will be open all day so stop by to discover the stand, chat about Côte d'Ivoire's culture, the Francophone world, and of course... chocolate. 🍫

The Alliance Française de Tulsa will be there on the ground to support Dimitry. We look forward to seeing you!

À bientôt ! 🤎

🇫🇷✨ Two remarkable days for the Alliance Française de Tulsa.

On June 4th and 5th, we had the great honor of welcoming to Tulsa the representatives of Villa Albertine Houston, Karl Cogard (Cultural Attaché and Director of Villa Albertine in Houston), and Marie Robert (Program Officer for Linguistic & Educational Affairs). Despite a very busy schedule across Oklahoma and Tulsa, we were truly honored that they took the time to share some memorable moments with us.

🏫 Label France Éducation - Eisenhower International School
The visit began with a very special moment at EIS (Eisenhower International School PTA), where Villa Albertine presented the prestigious Label France Éducation award on behalf of the French Consulate and the French Ministry of Education. The Alliance Française de Tulsa was honored to be part of this celebration.

This distinction recognizes the outstanding quality of EIS's French Dual Language Immersion program and we want to take this opportunity to sincerely congratulate the school's leadership team and, above all, its French teachers. Their daily commitment and passion are what make this program exceptional.

🎬 An evening at Circle Cinema
On the evening of June 4th, they joined us at Circle Cinema for one of our events, a warm and convivial moment that perfectly reflected what we are about, and the occasion to meet our Board and our community.

🚀 A conversation about the future
On June 5th, our president Julien Féral sat down with Karl and Marie for a meaningful exchange, an opportunity to discuss Villa Albertine's mission and, equally important, to present our chapter : its history, its identity, and the vision we are building for the years ahead.

We are in a truly exciting phase, a period of reconstruction and growth, where we are building on the foundations laid over recent years and looking boldly toward the future. Tulsa is a city on the rise, full of opportunity, and we intend to be at the heart of it, anchored in three core pillars : 🎨 Culture / 📚 Education / 🤝 Community

We will be sharing more about our projects and our vision toward 2030 very soon. Stay tuned, and in the meantime, spread the word. Together, we are building something worth being part of. 🙌

👉 Follow us. Talk about us. Join us.

🌟 What an incredible evening!!

Last night, Circle Cinema was the place to be! We celebrated the opening of 🇫🇷 Visits to France 🇫🇷, the stunning photography exhibit by Layton Baker and what a night it was!

Layton was the star of the evening, surrounded by Alliance Française members, family, and newcomers who came to discover her work and our community. The room was full of warmth, curiosity, and great conversations about art, culture, and what brings us together.

And that is exactly what the Alliance Française is all about : culture and community. Two values that were on full display last night. ❤️

The reception was followed by a screening of Paris, Je T'aime ; a perfect match for the evening's theme, and a beautiful way to end the night wrapped in the spirit of France. 🎬🇫🇷

✨ Special guests who made the evening even more memorable.

We were deeply honoured to welcome Karl Cogard, Director of the Villa Albertine in Houston, who was visiting Oklahoma and Tulsa, a wonderful and prestigious presence among us.

We were also delighted to have George Thomas with us, his mother was the founding figure behind the creation of our local Alliance Française de Tulsa chapter back in the 1950s. Evenings like these are a wonderful reminder that while we always look forward, we never forget where we come from. We can't wait to share more of that story with you — stay tuned!

A huge thank you to Layton for sharing twenty years of travels and passion with us, and to everyone who came out to make this evening so special.

📸 The exhibit Visits to France is still on display at Circle Cinema through June 30 so don't miss it!

☕ French Café Conversation : Around the World in One Morning! 🌍🇫🇷

Saturday's gathering was a beautiful reminder of what makes francophone culture so unique and powerful: its diversity.

Around our table, we shared stories, laughed, and connected across continents : Québec 🇨🇦 Togo 🇹🇬 Gabon 🇬🇦 Haïti 🇭🇹 Côte d'Ivoire 🇨🇮 France 🇫🇷

This is the richness of La Francophonie, not just a language, but a tapestry of cultures, histories, and perspectives woven together by French. Every accent, every story, every background adds something irreplaceable to the conversation.

See you in two weeks for our next French Café Conversation!
Merci à tous et à très bientôt! ☕🇫🇷
