An Open Letter from Your Ballot Hello… it’s me, your ballot.
We don’t see each other that often I know, but I thought maybe we needed to talk before the next election rolls around. Every election that is coming up, well, they are kind of important. I hope you’ll take just a few minutes to consider a few things before we meet up again at the ballot box.
I know I’ve already met up with a few of you at previous elections. If so, good. It shows you care. So many Americans just take for granted many of the things that are either scarce or non-existent in other parts of the world… clean water, food, freedom and yes, voting. I know you’ve seen the “Freedom isn’t free” bumper stickers, and heard all of the quaint, nostalgic slogans that are supposed to warm your heart and entice you to vote.
But can I just be blunt for a moment? Straight up… people have had their limbs blown off fighting to protect your freedom. Others https://www.synergizeme.net/an-open-letter-from-your-ballot/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ReviveOldPost

How to Dance Like Nobody’s Watchin’ Over the years, baseball legend Satchel Paige and iconic author Mark Twain have both been credited with the inspirational phrase, "Dance like nobody's watching!"
It's the soulful stuff of Internet memes and country songs, a passionate challenge for all who will hear to live with reckless abandon, regardless of who might be paying attention.
But what does it really mean? How do you truly "dance like nobody's watchin'"?
You have to feel the rhythm... Know the beat that matches your step, the step that uniquely YOU... Feel it... Not every cadence matches yours, so know your own, hear your own, FEEL the rhythm that is yours. This is YOUR dance. Set your own beat, even if it sets you apart from everyone else on the dance floor.
Hear the music... Do you hear it? Does the sound of the song stir your soul? Are you listening to the songs that matter, or do yet the white noise and the tones of discord drown out the song https://www.synergizeme.net/how-to-dance-like-nobodys-watchin/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ReviveOldPost

Mentoring… Leading… Making a Difference in Another Life! How hard is it to make yourself available to help someone younger and less experienced? The answer? Not hard at all.
Look around your workplace, your church, your community and you'll see plenty of examples of people desperately or quietly wanting help.
How do you do it?
Build a relationship first.
Be interested in their life, their passions, their cause and their gifts.
Encourage, encourage, encourage.
Ask questions about how they are doing.
Offer advice when asked.
Point them to resources where they can take charge of their personal growth.
Let the ball keep rolling from that point on.
There you go... Seven easy steps.
Now go make a difference!

Take Out Your Own Gall Bladder? How You Gonna Spleen That? Totally stupid pun in the title of this article, I know. What can I say... that's how I operate. {{{ Rimshot }}}
Starting over, again. It's been the topic here lately. Maybe you're one of those super disciplined and incredibly lucky people who have never had to walk down the road of "starting over, again." If you are, then just know the rest of us hate you. We don't wish you ill (ok, some of us might wish you a little bit of ill), but it will be hard for you to understand the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual struggles the rest of us go through when we do have those events in our lives that cause us to have to, well, start over again.
So back to the really bad pun in the headline. There are lots of things we can do for ourselves physically. We can clip our toenails. We can use a Flobee and cut our own hair. We can pop our zits, wash our face and brush our teeth. https://www.synergizeme.net/take-out-your-own-gall-bladder-how-you-gonna-spleen-that/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ReviveOldPost

Thumper Rebooted Owls are a symbol of wisdom. But what about a rabbit? In the Disney classic "Bambi", Thumper the rabbit imparts words of wisdom that have been quoted by thousands of mothers to their children. Thumper was criticizing Bambi's ability to walk, and his mother reminded him that his father had said just corrected Thumper that morning about being critical...
"Mrs. Rabbit: Thumper!
Thumper: Yes, mama?
Mrs. Rabbit: What did your father tell you this morning?
Thumper: If you can't say something nice... don't say nothing at all."
Great advice from parents to their young children. We don't want to raise kids who can only find the wrong in a situation. But does that mean we can NEVER recognize when something is wrong, faulty or failing? Not at all. But consider this tweet from Jeff Bezos on a recent "60 Minutes" interview.

Friendship’s Blade
Friendship’s Blade is a powerful thing . . . its steely edge cuts far beyond flesh, deep, deeper than any blade forged in fires of the smith. Its blade does its work in the heart . . . in the mind . . . in the spirit . . . in the soul.
I know, for I have felt the touch of Friendship’s Blade.
A Warrior charges through my life, his sword drawn.
This wild-eyed Warrior comes boldly . . . his goal, to defend me. With swiftness and subtlety, he fends off blows that otherwise might have wounded me, even ruined me . . . A cruel word, a malicious lie - or worse yet, the truth of my own sin displayed as a verbal banner for all to see and hear - these are the blows my Warrior Friend rises to protect me from, to protect my heart.
His love for me is no secret. But the depth of this love is known only to three - to himself, to me, and to the One in whose army he serves.
The rise to defend is as quick as it is https://www.synergizeme.net/friendships-blade/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ReviveOldPost

7 Things Your Team Members Need to Hear You Say
It's so easy for to get comfortable, especially when they have built a set of incredible team members within their organization. Other leaders struggle because it seems like they spinning their wheels, making little or no progress, or even losing ground as a team.
Regardless of whether or not your team is thriving, or barely surviving, there are some things that every team member needs to hear from their boss on a consistent basis. Much of the failure or success of your group can be traced straight back to YOU, and whether or not you spoke these truths out loud to your co-workers.
I LOVE IT WHEN YOU TAKE A RISK! Your team members need to understand and believe that you trust them to stretch the limits to achieve greater results. From time to time, they will take those risks and fail. It's all a part of the process. Other times those risks will reap powerful rewards. Either way, they need to know https://www.synergizeme.net/7-things-your-team-members-need-to-hear-you-say/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ReviveOldPost

My Captain What a fine ship she was... from stem to stern, she was the envy of the fleet, the finest ship whose bow ever split the sea. Before her, many had sailed; early visions, yet mere whispers of what she was to become. Multitudes would try to duplicate her style, her grace, her form. And though some attempts were more valiant or fruitful than others, none would ever make her equal.
But what is a ship? A tool, a grand means to a passionate end. Visions glorious and dreams courageous are among her cargo, but she does not own them. No, these belong to her Captain. He is the one who once did cast a steely glance to where sky meets sea, and believed there was more; more just beyond that shimmering edge where most men fear to cast their eyes. And so sails unfurled and billowing, her bow into the wind, this ship and her Captain set out toward this new horizon, this distant union of heaven & earth.
We have been his crew, you and I. Uncharted https://www.synergizeme.net/my-captain/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ReviveOldPost

We Know What NOT to Do! To command is to serve, nothing more and nothing less. —Andre Malraux
Leaders... pull your head out. Just because you're in charge doesn't mean it's OK to bully your staff, to kick around your team. Don't believe me? Go read I Kings 12... Here's a quick story about leadership... good stuff if you ask me...
Rehoboam traveled to Shechem where all Israel had gathered to inaugurate him as king. Jeroboam had been in Egypt, where he had taken asylum from King Solomon; when he got the report of Solomon’s death he had come back. Rehoboam assembled Jeroboam and all the people.
They said to Rehoboam, “Your father made life hard for us—worked our fingers to the bone. Give us a break; lighten up on us and we’ll willingly serve you.” "Give me three days to think it over, then come back,” Rehoboam said.
King Rehoboam talked it over with the elders who had advised his father when he was alive: “What’s https://www.synergizeme.net/we-know-what-not-to-do/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ReviveOldPost
